Just want to mention John Pilling who won the Best of Lancashire award for grassroots sports last night, a well deserved award for John who has done so much for local league football for many many years, well done John 👏

Well done John, always one of the better members of the committee. Was always up Towneley on a Sunday rain or shine making his way around the pitches.

Give me a chance to play again after being banned from the league for around 2 years for being a stupid young lad.

Well deserved.

One of the good guys. Think he replaced me on the Burnley Sunday League committee, ran the Butterfly team for years
