Which is why so many artists have copied their music from this scene

It wasn’t just the music either it was all about the scene. Magical days in the 70’s. Northern Soul is timeless, that’s why the big advertising companies use a lot of Northern tracks on TV adverts. Keep the Faith!!!!

Had to log in to like that post....like you say Jamesy...... Northern Soul certainly is timeless.

Been to plenty of music nights in my youth that had 60's and Northern Soul rooms and dont mind some of the music but watching them all do that same silly dance used to be good entertainment if nothing else.

Watching the old blokes nowadays with silly hair dos and silly clothes thinking its still some cool scene is hilarious. They do remind me of my nan though which is nice

All kinds of music but I tend to let the music in the moment move me rather than trot out some contrived dance steps Ive practiced like im on an episode of Strictly

There’s certainly some truth in what you say. The beat is always there but the rhythm can change and so can the musical arrangements, the vocalists and the instruments.

But that beat man....

Infectious, adrenaline pumping and magnificent.

I know my stuff when it comes to music but people have different tastes. If this turns you on then fair play but I find it a but dull and as I say Ive been to enough 60's/northern soul nights to see the silly contrived dancing for what it is

The majority of my posts are not designed to get a response however I understand that if you hold certain opinions on here because people are really precious they get upset. I cant help that but if people want to have a go at me thats fine as I can give as good as I get and can back up my opinions.
