Seen previously on here that folk were interested in Claret and Blue trainers.
I saw these earlier and thought I'd share. Bit steep pricewise though.

I wonder if the club know they are using the club badge?

Or maybe that's why they're double the price they should be? They're paying to use it?

"Pablo Escobar inspired trainers".

Really ?

Do they have secret compartments ?

Not a chance they’re being licensed by the club. Homemade customisations of cheap adidas shoes. Fair enough if that’s your thing but they look awful to me.

Awful trainers and vastly overpriced. You can get nice Adidas Gazelles, Trimm Star and Jeans that are sky blue with claret stripes and a gum sole that look far better. Can be quite elusive though.

Wouldn’t wear them at gun point, but your ‘burnley shirt over his jumper and claret & blue jester hat with Burnley badges on’ type probably would

Ok if you're about 12 years old and colour blind.

Had a quick look at the website and I'm surprised they're getting away with some of those trainers.

"Beatles inspired " using the world famous Beatles logo. Surely some copyright infringement questions to be asked . 🤔

Part of why Governments are so keen on co-operation regarding internet sales. You apply to each country for a copyright.. one country goes for you; you advertise “while stocks last” and double the price. You let social media know you are no longer able to make anymore and double the price for this “collectors item” and mop up. The media are all over you promoting you product…. You no longer need to make counterfeit, your name is established and you are a famous ‘brand’

I drove past the Britannia Inn (I think) pub on Oxford Street last weekend and noticed they had the bowing soldier silhouette painted on their sign.

Or the bloke who sits in the cricket field with his face painted every week.

There was some claret at a campsite near Bolton Abbey flying his lest we forget flag last year. Gives off a particularly horrible unsettling vibe.

Sadly, it's become a bit of virtual signalling. I do remember in good faith on Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day, but I manage to do so with the deepest gratitude and without all this cultural war nonsense. I find it so disrespectful. The same goes to all those businesses that jump on the bandwagon. I saw some poppy shaped beefburgers and cupcakes the other year, ffs.

I perceive it as the allowable equivalent of a BNP flag. Picture the people who would wear those trainers. Anyway not my cup of tea as a camping neighbour but to be fair there was no anti social behaviour or anything like that so maybe I’m the intolerant one.

Heaven forbid someone pitching a tent close to you sporting claret and blue Adidas trainers and then flying a lest we forget flag off one of the guy ropes to show his support for our fallen heroes. Give your head a wobble.

Do Lest we Forget flags mean something different up north? Never knew they were controversial. My neighbour has a car sticker, he’ll be horrified to be compared to BNP and causing palpitations when he parks next to precious people. I’ll let him know immediately..

I love my Adidas trainers, but they are awful and obviously not endorsed by either Adidas or Burnley Football Club

You have certainly maxed out your stereotype agenda on this thread. I think I understand now what sort of person you are. I had better not pitch a tent anywhere near you as I happen to support the charity and wear a Help the Heroes wristband. You will probably view this as having racist/nationalistic/BNP overtones also.

Help for Heroes wristband is very different in impact and tone to a Lest We Forget flag on a flagpole by your tent.

Did you actually ask them why they had it? Maybe he was in the armed forces and lost colleagues or maybe lost family in Afghanistan or Iraq. Instead you form your own bigoted opinions about them. Or maybe you're just an attention seeker and wind up merchant.

Fair do and I am neither. I am sure he had good reason and honest intention. You can blame Tommy Robinson and co for creating the perception.

And rightly so imo. A solemn dignified Remembrance Day I fully support, but the weird fetishisation of the world wars that this country has is just odd.

Don’t think that anyone is laughing at the motifs per se. But having it emblazoned on a pub’s signage, or erected on a flag next to your tent, or printed onto your trainers is very weird, in my opinion. And it is ironically the kind of thing done by people who call out ‘virtue signalling’.

When I browse Twitter and I see someone with this kind of thing on their profile pic I can guarantee to find some unsavoury content on their timeline. Unfortunately the symbol has been hijacked.
