Trevor Hemmings
Has passed away aged 86. PNE owner since 2010, I think and owned over 100 racehorses and had 3 Grand Batuonsl winners. RIP.

Re: Trevor Hemmings
That's a huge blow I would think to PNE - didn't realise he was quite that old.

RIP to an influential figure in NW sport.
That will have big ramifications for PNE - unsure what the succession plan will be, if any.

Re: Trevor Hemmings
I live on the Isle of Man where he has a large property and keeps his racehorses - pretty sure he was the driving force behind it all with his love of The Grand National - wonder what’ll happen with that.
RIP and as others have said, a big loss to PNE even just as a supporter.

Re: Trevor Hemmings
A very decent man and a popular figure in the National Hunt scene.
Many Clouds, Hedgehunter and Ballabriggs gave him 3 brilliant days in the National and will be sadly missed.

Yes, sad news. PNE and its supporters certainly owe a huge debt of gratitude to him, not sure where they would have been now without him. RIP

Re: Trevor Hemmings
Meant to add that given what we have seen over the last few years and latterly at the Toon, football desperately needs more people like Trevor Hemmings. Hats off to you sir.

Re: Trevor Hemmings
Sad news. Got to respect Trevor and PNE. A good club, in many ways similar ours. RIP Trevor.

Re: Trevor Hemmings
I believe his son took over a lot of his duties at PNE.
Without making them sound disrespectful, a couple Preston fans I know think that Trevor's passing will actually result in a lot of investment at the club. Trevor's passion is/was horses predominantly, investment into PNE seemed to be more a desire to not see his local club suffer financial ruin (he pumped cash in from the point they were served with a winding up order) than to bankroll them to the Premier League. His son is apparently far more into PNE than Trevor was, so they reckon they will soon be splashing the cash in a way they never have.
Preston fans have been known to talk excessive levels of crap over the years though.

Re: Trevor Hemmings
RIP as intimidated he waved nobbers when they looked doomed, a man who didn't seem to want the publicity that other Lancashire clubs owners have craved in the past.
