I read in the papers that Alex Ferguson as been awarded a Scottish international cap, for the international trip to Asia in1967,that as been up dated to full status. Does that mean Harry Thomson who along with Willie Morgan was on the tour will be recorded a international cap.

It's not players who went on the tour but players who played in the games that have now been considered full internationals, those against Australia, Canada and Israel. Those who have now qualified for caps other than Sir Alex Ferguson are Harry Hood, David Holt and Alan Anderson.
Strangely, back then, caps were only awarded for games against England, Northern Ireland and Wales.
They did something similar over a decade ago which enabled Adam Blacklaw to be awarded a cap.

I remember reading a book years ago by Gary Imlach (the cycling commentator/presenter) regarding his father's pro-football career at Everton; he apparently played for Scotland in the World Cup Finals, but still didn't get awarded a cap

I have never seen a player out and about in a cap.
