I play and I see it as a way of supporting a good cause and a bonus if I win anything. You are clearly looking to push the buttons of certain posters on here as clearly there is a massive difference between this and the problem gambling that many have a view on.

For the record I think it all should be allowed

Scratch cards are for a good cause, but many are against them.

You clearly haven't understood the gambling issue at all if you are trying to pass the first goal sweep supporting a local foodbank as being the same thing as a multibillion pound industry that ruins peoples lives for basically offering the ability to gamble 24/7 that allows people to build a habit and addiction.

All gambling starts somewhere.... A person's first bet won't be 500 quid, it'll be 10p in a slot machine, a pound on a scratch card etc etc... It all starts with small things, which lead to the addictions you refer to. If you're serious about stopping people gambling, cut out all forms from the beginning.
Those that are against betting sponsorship at our club, should be against all forms
Like I said, I ain't against it, so haven't been shouting from the roof tops to get it banned.
