Could the Skipper struggle to get back in? Great to see Collins has settled in nicely.

Exactly what I was thinking. Looked every bit as good as Mee and showed a few really skilful touches in addition

To compare him to our more recent CB's, definitely plays more like Keane than Mee/Tarks. Ridiculously composed for a player his age, and against such an opponent, too. 2-0 doesn't look amazing on paper but both City goals were about loose/second balls being pounced upon by world class, sharper players than ours, not necessarily big mistakes.

Looks excellent , will be a good replacement if Tarky goes, though he’s clearly better than Ben Mee in almost every aspect . Reminds me of Michael Keane

Collins and Maxwell real positives in a disappointing start to the season. He has definitely settled in very nicely.

He also drove out of defence with the ball a couple of times, impressed.

He looks very good and I hope he gets a run of games.
The only issue I see is I don't think Tarky is as good on the left CB slot.

Its a shame it will be him and Mee, rather than him Tarkowski in the future.
We've wanted a good ball playing centre half for a while to replace Mee, who whilst impressive defensively is slow and a liability at times.
Sadly Gibson wasn't that man, although I thought he was perfect at the time.

He is better than Keane by a distance.
He is better than Stones at his age....and now perhaps.
Excellent signing. He will be an Irish international for many years.

Genuinely hope he starts next week , though i guess will be the Spurs game his next outing .Mee’s a wonderful servant but his lack of pace , his errors and poor distribution surely mean it’s time to give youth a chance . Once Roberts is also bedded in the side starts to get a more youthful energetic look. Collins can clearly play and move with the ball too.

If he can chip in with a few goals like Steve Davis used to then that would be an added bonus.

Didn't get to see the game today but I'm so pleased to read these reviews of his performance today.
I have to say I wasn't convinced by his performance against Norwich - I thought he looked quite poor on the ball actually and was beaten a few times in the second half - but hopefully we can now put that down to nerves starting his first match. Sounds like he's got a really bright future.

Liked the way he actually played rather than hoofing. Quite often stepping by players.

I never said Davis was better. I said that he reminded me of him. He is and will be undoubtedly better than Davis as he operates at a higher level, but his style of play is similar. McNeil reminds me of Glen Little at times too.

Doh!
You get the drift though 3 at back
2 wide
A Holding MF
. . the other best 4 playing in places that can actually cause the opposition a problem and also fall in when often required.
So we can actually play football.
.........
All else fails.
We sneak two extra players on if we get a corner.

The guys has literally played 180 mins at this level. He was decent today but poor against Norwich. We will soon see what level Dyche sees him, if he drops him for Mee then we know he is not quite at Mees level yet.

Or maybe that Ben Mee is club captain, so very difficult to drop him?

Nope you are just wearing claret tinted glasses
The whole team were poor against Norwich. Just because he got man of match doesn’t mean he was good. It meant he was the least worst.
I think he’s going to be good. I still think his best performance was against Newcastle
