Re: MOTD
If you mean the fact they didn't say a single word about us in summary then it also happened a couple of weeks ago. Motd is an appalling excuse for the programme it used to be.

I was, I would have thought it was impossible Not to refer to a team on this programme, but the biased, useless, overpaid ***** managed it. that is despicable. I tried emailing the verminous *****, but the email contact address seems to be useless.what_no_pies wrote: ↑Sat Oct 16, 2021 11:49 pmIf you mean the fact they didn't say a single word about us in summary then it also happened a couple of weeks ago. Re: MOTD
Showed our chances and that was a brilliant pass from McNeil.
Didn't show any controversial stuff and no mention at the end, just all about City and Sterling's lack of game time.

Re: MOTD
With not going to the match I was looking forward to seeing one or two incidents that were mentioned on the match day thread. As others have said they never even mentioned our name, not once, it was all City, City. I’ve never known that before. Interesting though wasn’t it that they spent some good air time letting Shearer spout about Newcastle, the future etc etc and they’re not even playing until today. It’s shocking, absolutely shocking.

Re: MOTD
Nick Pope at fault for first goal with a Lee Grant style attempt to save pushing the ball into the path of Silva
The second goal was down to a disgraceful piece of referring, Jack Cork fouled on the half way line. Ignored by ref the game proceeded and Ash Westwood was floored with a foul in the back again ignored
2-0
With 4 first teamers out it was a decent performance

Re: MOTD
I don’t bother with it much these days. You can see all the action ( and our goals when we score any) on you tube not long after the match. You don’t have to put up with the drivel from the overpaid ‘pundits’.

Re: MOTD
Completely agree about the second. First Cork body checked by two players, blatant foul. Then Westwood miss controls a ball in the box and gets barged over. How the fed gave neither, or why Dyche wasn’t fuming about it, is beyond me.Woodleyclaret wrote: ↑Sun Oct 17, 2021 8:47 amNick Pope at fault for first goal with a Lee Grant style attempt to save pushing the ball into the path of Silva

Why the surprise-we are not big news, neither are Norwich and Southampton.Put some wins together and things change. You cannot influence the media-we need to get real

Re: MOTD
Exactly. The sports media tend to be only interested in clubs like ours if there is controversy or quaintness involved. If there's nothing much happening and the plucky underdog schtick has worn thin, they'll concentrate on pleasing the vast majority of their audience.

Re: MOTD
Westwood was far too weak, especially with the new refereeing guidelines, he's never going to get that and has to be stronger
Cork possibly, but again, he's running at three Man City players and he really needs to pass when under that much pressure

Re: MOTD
I think if De Bruyne hadn't scored City would have been screaming for a penalty due to Mahrez being taken down after tangling with Westwood.
I think I know the likely outcome.

Re: MOTD
It’s not that out of the ordinary, most of the bottom teams don’t get much of a say until towards the end of the season when it’s the relegation battle.
Happened quite a lot last year with Fulham, very rarely got mentioned until after Christmas when the relegation battle was ongoing.

Danny Murphy has told the nation that Tarkowski will be a feasible signing for Newcastle on MOTD 2 tonight. They did at least recognise that teams will demand big money from that club in January.

Re: MOTD
Murphy is a legend. Usually very complimentary of us, but even better he went to them down road and played awfully his entire time there.
Agent Murphy I'd say.

I don’t think he’s ever worked for Sky or BT Sport either. Fair enough if you don’t like him as a pundit - though as mentioned he’s always been pretty complimentary about us - but don’t just make things up.

Yes but when you have an agenda against the BBC, what you say doesn't have to be impartial or correct and it's perfectly acceptable to lie and make things up.

Especially when the main gripes are that they discussed Manchester City not Burnley and that a pundit from Chester speculated one of our players might go to Newcastle.evensteadiereddie wrote: ↑Mon Oct 18, 2021 9:08 amYes but when you have an agenda against the BBC, what you say doesn't have to be impartial or correct and it's perfectly acceptable to lie and make things up.
