Apparently they outrun Leeds yesterday and become the first team to do so (with 11 men )since they came back up in to the Premier league.

Not what I wanted to read before our trip down there.

They run around a lot but lack a punch, I’m sure Sean Long coming off our bench would go down as well as SD bringing Barnes on for us and Barnes has done a lot more for Burnley than Long would have done if he’d picked us all those years ago when we wanted him as an up and commer.

Does Le Tissier still get a game? His free kicks strike fear into me

Leeds are not the same team this season. We will win at Southampton next week, trust me 😀

Start Rodriguez and Cork. Nothing like beating a team with their ex players, especially after they bought Rodriguez off us.

That Peter Rodrigues will have Cornet in his pocket

They beat Leeds - we drew. They drew at City - we lost.

We need to watch out for Francis Benali, he’s a right dirty b@stard.

Dave Merrington has Mick Channon purring, I might just back Keegan for first goal.

It’s a bit cramped at the Dell for away fans. So if you are still wary of Covid I would give this fixture a miss.

Get down a bit early for the game and you can take a detour down the docks. There's a big liner sailing off on a maiden voyage; called the Titronic or some such- they say it's unsinkable.

He'd still be quicker than most of our squad ;)

Definitely time to drop Wood. How many times does he run up to a defender, then stop without challenging him?

I was on the Dell in 3rd November 1973. It ended 2-2. Paul Fletcher and Ray Hankin. Brian O'Neil was in the Soton team.

I was in the home end. Went with a college mate and his Dad and two younger brothers. They were all Southampton fans.

Got my tickets for this weekend at St Mary's. New stadiums have a lot to recommend them.

Some times you start a thread on here and it takes off in directions you would never believe.

At least it's done with a bit of humour.
