I’m not surprised at all by this. The Afghanistan team is so underrated it’s untrue. Their spin department is amazing

A harsh reality check for Scotland, but Afghanistan are a decent outfit in the T20 format.

West Indies 50/0 from 8.5 overs
Quinton De Kock I imagine will be the headline news after he decided not to play

Politics taking over sport. When will it end?
Fair play to the lad not playing because he will not be forced to take a knee, but it's sad SA keep losing their best players.

South Africa win with ease by 8 wickets.
The myth that is Andre Russell exposed with bat and ball, but special mention for Lendl Simmons opening the batting for the Windies and being out in the 14th over for 16.

No he didn’t decide not to play. South Africa’s cricket board ensured he isn’t playing by forcing all players to take the knee. Quite rightly he should not be forced if he does not wish (look at Zaha, Toney and others in the Prem) and therefore their board won’t let him play. Frankly ridiculous and boring.

Very efficient win. Did very well again in the initial powerplay phase, taking wickets and keeping the scores down- really putting pressure on the opposition.
Scotland up next today (v Namibia) - see if they can recover from that battering against Afghans.
Australia next up for England- on Saturday- will be more of a challenge.

It’s funny I watched that nambia in the qualifiers I was mightily impressed with them.i suspect they will fall short against the big boys but I fancied them for this.Wiesse is a very good all rounder in this format plays in all the franchise leagues, made a couple of big knocks in the qualifiers now taking wickets.

Blimey Scotland 3 wickets down in the first over then 18-4 after 33 balls. Difficult to come back from that but Leask is doing well now with 34 from 20 balls at the moment. If they can get to 120, might make a contest of it yet.

Another impressive display by England, and it won't harm Roy getting a good score.
Scotland will be disappointed they'd have fancied the Namibia game as one that they could have won.

A couple of thrillers today, both going down to the wire, before Pakistan & West Indies claimed important victories.
The big one tomorrow when Australia and England meet, the winner is pretty much assured of a last 4 slot I'd imagine, whereas the losers could face a nervy couple of games to end the group section.

SA edge out SL in yet another thrilller.
England win toss and naturally field first.

Yes it didn't look likely with 3 overs remaining, but they dug deep and got themselves over the line.
You have to feel for Hasaranga, he bags a HT, yet still ends on the losing side.

Slight recovery by Australia due to Finch & Agar, but you'd still fancy England to complete a routine victory chasing a fairly modest target.

We could do with somebody giving England a proper game before the knockouts.

2 in 2 for Chris Jordan, exactly what England needed to keep Oz in check in the dying overs.
111-8 9 balls remaining.

After today England have Sri Lanka then South Africa, but on this form neither should be too troublesome for this England side.
Mills has been expensive however, and he may find himself being replaced next game.
125 all out off the final delivery, so England require 126 to win.

England romp to an 8 wicket win, Buttler smashing 71 off 32 balls as England coasted home, on this form it'll take a good side to beat them I have to say.

If England keep winning so easily only worry is a few of the middle order batsmen might be a bit undercooked for the knock out rounds.

Hmm! good point, could they rejig the batting order for one or both of the next 2 games, I guess they could, but why would they want to change a successful formula.

India finish on 110-7, mainly thanks to Jadeja's late cameo, but I can't see that being anywhere near enough against the Kiwis, India in real danger of an early exit here.
An easy win for Afghanistan over Namibia which keeps their hopes of a last 4 place very much alive.
