Surprised at the high marks for the central midfield two, KRBFC. I thought both were under par for large parts of the game, particularly second half, and surprisingly, despite the score line, the first half too.

Tarkowski had Toney in his pocket all day, surely warranting a better mark than Brownhill and Westwood.

JBG 7 some very good pockets of play, should really have a goal or 2 to his name but much better from him

McNeil 5 poor for me today again, looks low on confidence
Wood 8 excellent hold up play first half, linked up well and a great finish, lacked any service 2nd half
Cornet 9 could have had 2, excellent goal, and linked uo very well at times, oozes class

Took our foot of the pedal 2nd half but the game was won, it really could have been 5 first half.
Looked to be running in empty the last 20 minutes, but that's 3 games in 7 days probably took its toll

Cannot argue with 4 points from 2 games.

hunted in packs today, won so many balls and pinged it about quicker than usual against a very good team who hadn't lost away all season.

Brownhill 5 great of the ball but he was just useless when he had hold of the ball. (Tarks had a proper go at him for the goal as well)
Westwood 7 debated giving him a 6 but he made a couple of fantastic passes, especially the pass to set Gudmundsson off.
Gudmundsson 7 he should have scored but thought his all round play was the best I have seen for quite a while.
Cornet 8 he is just top quality, he just has that something extra special (similar to Defour)
Wood 8 thought in the first half he was back to his absolute best. He tired around 60 mins and became a little ineffective.

Westwood had a poor start to the game giving away a number of sloppy passes

Just what we needed and a much more positive performance although admittedly against an under strength and poor Brentford. We were much more positive and on the front foot and had the extra energy and edge needed to win games today which changed us from being average, cautious losers into a dominant force. A bit complacent in the second half but overall a good win.

Tempering my excitement with a degree of calmness. Took our foot totally off the gas second half so marked accordingly.

Even the sixes and sevens seem low to me. Comms on NBCSN were glowing about his quality and his work rate.

Pope 8 - That one great save, but his catching and aerial work took a lot of pressure off the defense.
Lowton 9* - Maybe it's the pressure from Roberts, but he was excellent all around today.
Tarkowski 9 -Toney had a nightmare. When Tarks gets home and empties his pockets, Toney will be on the side with his keys.
Mee 8 - Solid as a rock today and seemed really up for it.
Taylor 8 - Some excellent defensive work, especially at the end. Never gets forward as much as when he is working with McNeil, but still good.
JBG 6 - Some good bits, first time he has lasted 90 minutes for a while. Should have buried the 1 on 1.
Brownhill 7 - Workhorse performance, but never really influenced the game with any real impact.
Westwood 6 - Far too many sloppy passes at the moment, not sure what is going on with him in this regard. His work rate redeemed him a bit.
McNeil 7 - Looked good, his defensive work has really imrpoved and will to chase and pressure everything. Has a great eye for a pass.
Wood 8 - First half he was causing Brentford all kinds of problems. Looked sharp and eager today. Died off second half, but best he has been for a while.
Cornet 8 - Just has a touch of class. Excites the crowd and he is so unpredictable.

Vydra 6 - Unfortunately came on when we we sending long balls over the top, not much he can do in that situation. Ran around a lot and achieved very little.

A weird game. So easy to score at half time, but more difficult as the game wore on. Did we take our foot off the gas or were we exposed as being not that great. First half was up there with stuff we were watching when we were pi**sing the Championship, but after Wood missed an easy chance early second half we drifted and faded and it became a difficult watch (sadly!) How brilliant were we first half and how utterly crap were Brentford!!??? I really can't decide, but we had acres of space all over the field and made full use of it, so fair play to us. How Brentford are half way up the league with that defence is amazing to me, but tbf they pose a real goal threat and I was scared second half that one might bring 2 and.... Anyway, I enjoyed the first half, DEFINITELY enjoyed the result and I'm happy to register the win and move on.... to Chelsea away

Very surprised at the lack of 9s and 10s for Tarkowski. He was absolutely imperious today

Him, Wood, Cornet, Lowton all absolutely top drawer today

Only issue I have is that we were still too loose with passes from midfield, and we dropped off it a bit too much 2nd half

But we were outstanding in that first half, and probably should have had more
