There are lots of openly gay professional female “sportsmen”.Iloveyoubrady wrote: ↑Tue Nov 09, 2021 9:42 pmDon’t you think that’s something within sport in general.
Maybe it’s because there actually aren’t very many gay/lesbian sportsmen rather than the worries they may have about coming out?

That's because the men don't feel threatened by the lesbians, they're just worried about the gay men.
Never understood it tbh but here we are.

If he was stood like that outside your kids junior school what would your thoughts be?
I worked round schools in the late 90s and we had a fellow working with us who had been 'done' for cross dressing - going out wearing women's clothes, make-up etc.. He was a top bloke and never brought that stuff to work. We never knew anything about it until a school governor recognised him and asked that he never come to their school again.

I'd raise an eyebrow at it, but it's no worse than the oiks rocking up in dressing gowns etc to drop off or collect their kids.

Really?
Look, I'm not pretending that a lot of this kind of thing does require people to challenge their perceptions a lot more than some are comfortable with, because I've been there and realised that you have two choices, you either deal with change or you end up being completely lost and as angry about it as far too many posters on here appear to be
Re: Dominic Calvert-Lewin
very suspect behaviour, it's incredibly dangerous to promote cross dressing and transsexual mindset onto young children, they don't need all that confusion at an early age. If an adult male wants to wear a thong, I find it incredibly weird but go ahead, I think the snowflake need to deem everything normal is harmful for future generations though.

Ooo now it's getting interesting.
Children tend to realise quite early on that they're in the wrong body, but you're saying they shouldn't be allowed to express their true feelings etc.

Is he not wearing a suit jacket and suit shorts topped off with a manbag?
Hardly cross dressing; not that it bothers me if he is,
for the photoshoot or otherwise.

Yeah that's exactly what he's wearing, a quick Google confirms that, but that doesn't stop some people getting upset by it.Guppyspotter wrote: ↑Wed Nov 10, 2021 10:57 amIs he not wearing a suit jacket and suit shorts topped off with a manbag?

I think children shouldn't be influenced into such drastic views. I have no issue with an adult making such decision.GodIsADeeJay81 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 10, 2021 10:55 amOoo now it's getting interesting.

Problem being if Cleetus sees another male and he isn't wearing dungarees then he is automatically strange

Re: Dominic Calvert-Lewin
I've got a friend who's due to have her final operation to complete her transition, she's just in isolation at the moment to ensure she doesn't catch a cold, Covid or something else.
She started her journey in her early/mid teens and is now in her mid-20's.
Are you saying you wouldn't approve of her starting her journey as a teenager, even though she absolutely knew who she was meant to be?
Yes, there has been errors made by groups who've rushed people into starting the transition and yes more care needs to be taken, but there are people who just know from a young age that they're in the wrong body.

She is into her mid 20s, she is more than capable of making that decision for herself. I would be against anyone under the age of 18 having any kind of body altering surgery (boob job, gastric band, fat transfer, trans surgery) etc.GodIsADeeJay81 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 10, 2021 11:03 amI've got a friend who's due to have her final operation to complete her transition, she's just in isolation at the moment to ensure she doesn't catch a cold, Covid or something else.

Re: Dominic Calvert-Lewin
Ah but she started the journey as a teen, under the age of 16 and that doesn't involve surgery.
You're clearly not aware of how the journey starts, it isn't with surgery, that's later on when they're an adult in the UK.
It starts with a change in lifestyle, cross dressing, name/pronouns etc.
To get to the surgery point in the UK, you have to prove that you've been living your life as a female, or a male because it's a 2 way street, for a minimum number of years.

I just showed this picture of DCL to gauge HER reaction, her reply was "Why is he dressed like a schoolgirl, that's perverse"
Is she wrong?
I don't know what to think,is it better I just leave it at that and move on with my life?

First of all, I don't think this is a children's magazine do id not aimed at them.KRBFC wrote: ↑Wed Nov 10, 2021 10:53 amvery suspect behaviour, it's incredibly dangerous to promote cross dressing and transsexual mindset onto young children, they don't need all that confusion at an early age. Secondly there is a subtle difference between educating or informing and promoting.
All that educating and informing the kids means is that they won't bat an eyelid when they see someone dressed differently, unlike some of the posters on this thread. You can't possibly argue that is a bad thing, can you?

Children can wear what they want.KRBFC wrote: ↑Wed Nov 10, 2021 10:53 amvery suspect behaviour, it's incredibly dangerous to promote cross dressing and transsexual mindset onto young children, they don't need all that confusion at an early age. What is wring is teaching children pink is for girls, blue is for boys. Barbies are for girls, action men are for boys and so on and so on. When I was in primary it was always “boys play football, girls play netball in PE”.
Most children are less stupid than adults because they haven’t years of being taught about absolute nonsense. Their minds are more free.

I stopped taking any notice of fashion when Italian shell suits appeared. The man bag is something Europe has been trying export into the UK and US since the early 1990’s. The picture has achieved its aim by being talked about on here (though they’d prefer you to buy).
I can’t imagine C-L walking around Stanley Park on a regular basis dressed like that; which is probably the point they are making.

The most hilarious thing on this thread is people coming out with “ it doesn’t bother me he’s a right to wear whatever he wants “ . It’s a fashion shoot ffs engineered to get gazillions of hits and publicity . Wasn’t Tom Davies wearing some outrageous outfit a couple of yrs back and getting terrible stick ?

Re: Dominic Calvert-Lewin
I'm actually of the opinion that things like this are actually nothing new. We just see them a lot more because of how much of a connected world we are. With social media everybody has the ability to project their opinions, values and feelings onto the world stage for everyone else to see.
Back in the day this wouldn't have been possible but that doesn't mean people didn't have these views and fashion statements...but perhaps only their close friends and family ever found out and knew about it.
It's also fairly safe to say that people like DCL are likely to be quite extrovert and be much more likely to show off as it were and they now have the platform to be noticed.
Nothing to see here.
