16st 3!

How can Brighton fans average 9st 6??!

Back in August before my diet/weight loss began I was exactly what the article said, 16st 3lb with a 41 inch waistline!

Now, luckily, I have gone down to 15st 5lb but still enjoy a few pints and a pie on matchday.

All seems a bit ridiculous. I'd wager at least half of fans have a max of 2 beers. That leaves the other half reaching Andy Fordham levels of booze... sorry. But I just don't buy it.

I was above the 'Burnley' average back around 14 years ago but last year dropped to just over 12st. Gone back up a little bit since though.

Pies cancelled from now.

The surprising thing would be if there were more than a handful of people gullible/thick enough to believe these stats (average weights, average pints drunk and average pies consumed) had any basis in reality.

It is not all about Beer which piles on the pounds.
Not eating vegetables and fruit and having many take away meals plus hardly any exercise, that is the reason for putting on weight.

Those of a 'certain size', knock on the green folding gates and the stewards let them in. They then go to a turnstile and their ticket is validated from inside the ground.

Sorry guys...it was me. I'm 16st 3..41 inch waist and I love Hollands Pies so much I always have 3 before the teams come out and knock them back with 3 pints. 2 more at half time (only 1 now with the chaotic waiting times). 4 pre match pints in the Miners and then one for the road after the game.Is that not normal? I only told a guy who randomly rang me up. Oops

See, it's all Dyche's fault. If he played Potter football we'd be as thin as Brighton fans. Interesting to know if they rivalled us for size when Hughton was there.
