I shied off last minute.
It was alright 30muns ago, but the forecast is snow in Burnley during the match, which means the hills will be worse.
As it happens we've got heavy snow here now, so I would have possibly been coming back into it.
One written off car for the cause is enough. Give the lads a cheer for me.

Bosscat, it’s settling a bit here too, just outside Skipton, normally we’d go but we’ve decided not to bother, a bit annoyed really as we don’t like missing games but I’m getting too old to starting pushing and digging.

We had a scare driving home from a match quite a few years ago on the Gisburn Road near Nappa ... a 4 wheel drive was coming towards us almost sideways ... how the hell it missed us I still don't know ... I vowed never again to risk snow ...

Coming down in Bury now, albeit not heavily. Trying to decide whether to risk it over the top into Burnley.

Sat charging at Charnock Richard, before the final lurch to Turf Moor.
Snowing here but lightish. Not settling.
Radio saying Turf Moor pitch White and heavy snow. Referee peering at pitch.

Snow on pitch seems to have really settled in the past hour, lines have been cleared though and they have started clearing the pitch in the corner between CFS and James Hargreaves. Twitter comment from Andy Jones:
Sean Dyche (somehow just in a shirt and tie) is out chatting to the referee.
Meanwhile COO Matt Williams (bottom left) is helping with the efforts of removing snow from the pitch.

Surely, the under soil heating should have been on, and wouldn’t this have prevented much of the snow settling?

At least Son won't be able to run the full length of the pitch to score today, the ball will be about 3 feet in diameter by the time he gets to our goal.

The under soil heating has been on. It prevents freezing well under the surface and the warmth rises slowly up to the surface.
It certainly can't stop heavy snow settling, the same way snow settles on warm car bonnets, house roofing etc
