Ok lets get some truth here.
Nixon has not tweeted for 2 hours.
And there is no tweets saying the dutch striker is not coming.

Maybe the Sun article is just a bit of transfer window clickbait.

Ah you see KSR you have fallen into the trap - both KM and CB are injured so they don't need a medical but fit our journeymen, expensive and injured for 3 months recruitment plan.

I’m certainly not it’s the last place I go for information, you only need to click on a sports app & you’ll find the information on there about what’s happening or come on here & have a look what people are posting.Bordeauxclaret wrote: ↑Sat Jan 29, 2022 10:21 pmLet’s be honest, everyone on here is going off twitter sources so let’s stop the “xxx what do you know”.

KM certainly does, but there is only one problem with CB - I watched him playing at Peterborough only a few hours ago on Sky.
CB to sign a new contract at Sheff U within the next few hours.

Origi and Minamino would walk into our first eleven and improve it massively.
We won’t be in for either, though.

None but strangely I’m not in charge of a football club that’s sitting at the bottom & potentially facing relegation.

Blimey. Go away for a few hours and the worlds about to end! Cornet is back, Jay will notch with a good run in the side and confidence is high after Arsenal. What can possibly go wrong?

I’m still pretty confident at least one or two will arrive.
Re: January 2022 Burnley Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
Just read the whole thread …
Tony is obvs trying to keep people updated .
The amount of bed wetting and hysteria about two players who haven’t yet signed or won’t sign is comical .
It’s not money spent that makes a successful team and tbh even if we signed Salah , Ronaldo and Messi I think Newcastle will be gone and it’s quite a gap to the rest.
Take a step back , I’d trust Sean in the championship , we knew it would likely happen sooner rather than later. I hope we stay up but it’s improbable.
We’l all be here again next year no matter the division . It’d be nice to look up rather than down .

Re: January 2022 Burnley Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
Just to add , that doesn’t mean I don’t want us to stay up . Of course I do.
What I don’t want us to do is waste money now. I believe when we signed Ian Moore for a record breaking fee we were originally interested in Adebola . Whilst neither were ground breaking I personally believe if we’d signed Adebola that year we would have turned the narrow miss on the play offs into a top 6 finish.
Let’s see what happens between now and Monday . No matter what, pack the turf and even if things don’t go to plan, respect what the lads have done over the last couple of years with no reinforcements from the previous owner and clap at the end.
Some appreciation for their efforts may see a few sign a new deal or even an uplift in performances .
Just an idea.

Thing I don’t get is who in their right mind would want them to sign a new deal, most are over the hill & past it & would struggle in the championship & need replacing & anybody who isn’t will get picked off when we drop.

Back to transfer rumours… Palace could make a late move for Ramsey if Everton succeed in their attempt to sign VDB. Palace were Ramsey’s preferred choice.

An Italian journo is saying he’s remaining at Juve. Have to say, glad we’re making offers to players of his calibre but given the repeated reports that he doesn’t want to join, I hope he doesn’t. Not what we need in a relegation battle.

I'm absolutely gutted we didn't get Carroll over the line after his astounding performance helped West Brom win yesterday
Re: January 2022 Burnley Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
It’s all well and good having these higher calibre players as targets but due to their increased risk of failure (see Orsic) it’s also incredibly important there are back ups. We will see by 11pm tomorrow but it’s not looking good.

I'm not. We're now half way through the most critical 48 hours in our whole season (and possibly our entire PL life) and the first half of those hours has gone very badly it seems. We'll have to pull some very big rabbits out of the hat to turn this around. I WAS very, very upbeat on Friday night and now I'm anything but unfortunately. "We go with what we have", I can almost hear SDs words on Tuesday morning already and yet he'll know that what we have is actually less than what we started January with and even then it wasn't enough.elwaclaret wrote: ↑Sun Jan 30, 2022 1:03 amI’m still pretty confident at least one or two will arrive.

Think we can rule out Lingard’s availability (to anyone) now.

I think Origi could be an option instead of Orsic. He’s a different position but it would allow us to push Cornet wide instead and play Origi/Weghorst up front.
Re: January 2022 Burnley Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
To be fair, this news had already been given to us by one of our own. Fingers crossed that we get over the line.
