The one thing we’re really lacking is balls into the box. If you but balls in the box to Woods feet he will score goals. And plenty of them. So for me, any formation that allows the midfield to keep the ball, and put balls in has got to be better than what we have now. I’d go with a 4 3 2 1
4 at the back, tried and tested. works.
3 in midfield (best 3 available at time)
2 winger/forwards Cornet & McNeil (only 2 players we have that can beat a defender)(swap with Vydra/Rodriguez/JBG) depending on injuries etc.
Wood upfront (1st choice) (swap with Vydra/Rodriguez)

Also if I was a coach I’d be going nuts when my midfielders pass the ball Al the way back to the defence instead of getting a ball to feet in the box.

How often do our midfield score goals, how often do they even work the keeper.....
When was the last time we put a free kick on target, its one thing for the keeper to save it, but to miss the target as often as we do is shocking.
As said above the quality of our crosses are as bad as the shooting.
It isn't that many weeks ago we were getting off lots of shots, for us. The heads are dropping. You can never argue about the effort from any of our squad, but what we need is a bit of nous and a cool head. Someone needs to stand up and lift the players around them, oh for a Joey Barton.
Come Sunday we need to raise the roof, however the match is going, as Evertonians showed tonight, the fans can make a difference.
