The Christmas Truce

Post by Billy Balfour » Sun Dec 26, 2021 2:02 pm

This is fascinating, and quite emotional too when you consider that it was back to the killing once the unofficial truce was over.

Please spare three minutes of your time to watch the video, it's well worth it.

The war, for that moment, came to a standstill.

In 1968, WW1 veterans recalled the Christmas Truce. We also found out the score in the football game that took place on no man's land.

Really enjoyed watching that. Thanks for posting. Not seen it before. Can't imagine how odd that would have been to lay down your arms for just one day.

Most of us have no issue with folk from other nations,it's politicians who cause problems then hide behind jingoistic rhetoric.
Great clip thanks for posting.
