That position certainly suits him more. A forward who runs at them breath of fresh air . . . Albeit not that fresh ;)

Yep, done very well tonight and looked fully up for it.

Loved the fact he runs at the defence with pace. I’ve been critical in the past, but enjoyed his performance tonight.

Move over Raheem - Aaron's back. Like the way he bullied Slab Eyd.

Great game tonight, unfortunate to be subbed off tbh, but I'd be tempted to play him upfront again if Cornet isn't fit.

Credit where it's due

He’s great running at defenders. When he’s on the wing he is always having to go back. Think he suits that role better than the wing tbh.

Wish he'd of stayed on TBH. Found his position.

Spot on. Sean Dyche has experimented here. He's clearly felt this was the time to add pace up front and see how he does. It's worked. We lost, but SD can take a positive out of it.

Him and Hennessey were our two best players tonight.

I didn’t know he could still play like that. I was really disappointed when I saw he was playing no 10, but he was outstanding. We should have had him starting all season...

Really good defending from the front, nicked loads of second balls. Forward play was also excellent, pace still good, great goal.

He was excellent tonight - did more than Gudmundsson has done all season.

Impressed with Lennon tonight he definitely deserves a crack vs leeds. Might be the answer whilst Cornet is out/away!

Huge huge game now on Sunday!

Great goal and good performance throughout. Hope to see him on Sunday and cause some grief for their defence.

I expect that's one of the reasons why he was taken off.

Plus the fact you can't expect him to be 100% match fit as he's hardly played. A good move by Dyche to take him off when he did.

I firmly believe its due to him not getting a run of games

He was great last season

Played very well tonight.

Dale Stephens deserves a md room for his cameo too. We saw glimpses of the player we assumed we’d bought tonight. He might yet contribute effectively for us.

I guess I was not alone in feeling dismayed at Lennon starting. Got to say he was a revelation in a central role, way more effective than he has ever been out wide. Between him and Hennessy for our MOM.

Agree I thought he did well. I reckon his pass completion was close to 100%.

He did much better than I thought, but if I was Vydra's agent I would be rescuing Clive Holt's fax machine and be approaching a lot of clubs re a move

He gets a lot of stick on here that isn't warranted. He deserves a crack at Leeds.

Well done Aaron.

Didn't agree with him playing ahead of Vydra but he did well, I’m pleased for him. Leeds a key game, Dyche needs to make the right choice, including Jay if back. Personally I would still play Vydra but if he now gave Lennon another crack, fair enough.

Hats off to the lad - put a real, quality shift in tonight.

Deserves a crack at Leeds providing he plays in that role.

He probably won’t get much praise but I thought he did well albeit in a game that was probably already lost. He hardly gave the ball away.

Very positive interview on Club website. You can see why Mr D was happy to have him back.

impressed by Lennon tonight, put in a real shift and deserved the standing ovation that he got when subbed.

If Sean would have used any more subs,he would have had to resort to "walking Football"

I think he surprised us all last night, and for me taught Rodriguez, Barnes and Vydra a lesson in how to be effective in a forward role. Yes SD stated that he knew Lennon had played as a No 10 before. When Roberts is fit again lets hope that SD can re-use this philosophy and play him wide right-he has played there for Swansea. For me we have been very poor in finding a person who can naturally play wide right for the past 3-4 years. Does anyone care to tell me how many crosses we have seen from JBG who has made 15 PL appearances this season-I am struggling to remember three or four at most

Thing is with JG, there is no lack of effort but there is a lack of quality now.

I can't remember him once beating the first man with a cross last night. They
we're all easily blocked almost as soon as the ball left his foot.

Shame really because, as I say, there's no lack of effort.

I was gutted when I saw him in the starting eleven last night and sent some less than complementary texts about him to my kids.
So glad he played as well as he did and happy to eat my words. 3-1 flattered United. We could have been two up before they scored and we were unlucky with their last two goals. Fine margins as Sean says. The one Ben deflected was going wide and then United got lucky when Hennessy made that fine save and it deflected back of the post instead of going out for a corner. Bring on Leeds, I feel a good result coming.
