Has apparently turned us down according to Sky Sports. If this is true then you can’t fault the ambition from Pace

Good to see a transfer window approach that begins beyond the Bet365 Stadium

Agent trying to drum up interest…. We may have spoken to Juve. It just depends what you consider an ‘official’ approach.

Tomorrow I am going to make an offer on a Rolls Royce-it wont be the asking price, as there is no way I can afford it, but I will make sure my motoring friends find out

Don't want that being associated with Burnley

Come on warks , let’s move on from the cynicism that came with Garlick. We have to back Pace for one very good reason. We have no choice!

Apparently he’s turned us down yeah he laughed at the Universal Credit we have offered him.
He’s on €400k a week at Juventus

KRBFC usually has a good answer here.
Big signing on fee to allow wages to remain close to our current structure means the player isn't missing out on wages.
He will already know he's never going to get close to £400k a week again, that was his biggest money move ever.

Personally, the most surprising thing about this one is that we haven’t yet had someone come along to say he’s crap. Usually happens when we are linked with any kind of well known star.

I can fix this for you
I wouldn’t say he’s crap, but he does have an injury record that makes Robbie Brady look like an ever present!

When I think of Ramsey I always think of the goal he scored against us in the 3-3 draw, the day Andrew Cole chased Darren Purse up the tunnel.

Story broken by Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, never heard of him before so no idea if this story is credible or if he is the Italian version of Jim White who knows F all.

Di Marzio is well respected.
Can’t get my head around the cynicism, tbh.
Our intent in the market has moved light years ahead from where we were 12+ months ago, and still we have people moaning.

Di Marzio may be respected but he is only repeating what he has been told, and Ramsey is looking to move back, and his agent wants to raise Ramsey’s profile and make him appear in demand…

I'm quite sure agents do that sort of thing, but if Ramsay's agent was playing that game I think he'd want a higher "start the bidding" team than Burnley. He'd probably mention Villa or Wolves, or perhaps even Spurs.

What a good goal it was too. I remember telling my mate at the time that this lad was highly thought of. Wasn’t expecting a goal like that though.

Ramsey would be an incredible signing. Just the type of player we need, someone that can retain the ball but has the physical attributes to cover box to box. He would certainly add to the goal tally from midfield.

Now Aaron, we have had interest from Newcastle and a team called Burnley. What's your thoughts?
Re: Aaron Ramsey

by ashtonlongsider
Good player as Ramsey can be, any suggestion of getting his services would be impractical given his injury record. It's good to be ambitious as we need bodies in, and in quickly at that, but I personally would be more comfortable signing players who can potentially hit the ground running for the next 21 league games.
Re: Aaron Ramsey

by scamander
I'm not doubting that he would improve us significantly but we need someone without his injury record. We have a finite amount to save ourselves with. Though I appreciate injuries are always a risk we want to avoid putting our eggs into a physio's basket.
He might flourish at a club where he is in the middle wirh two others and can be eased in. Unless Dyche has him playing off the front man he'll be playing in a midfield pair and asked to do a lot of work.
In any case here's hoping we can nab a few players

Agree with ashtonlongsider and scamander. This is obviously not happening either way, but not what we need if it were.
What does appear to be happening now is that we’re being linked with players many leagues above what we have in the past, which can only be a good thing in terms of ambition.

It was only last week, that posters on here, were laughing at the thought of signing 150k a week Anthony Martial on loan.

Yes, I started that thread and received plenty of ridicule for it. Now we are discussing the merits of Ramsey currently on £400k a week as if he is a viable prospect. Laughable.

And i think of the home game a couple of seasons back when Tarkowski allowed his index finger to make contact with Ramsey's shoulder and Ramsey produced a cross between someone stepping on a land mine and a Tom Daley style plummet back to earth. As ever when we play that lot the ref bought it an awarded a penalty.

Yes I remember this blatant act of cheating very well. James Madison has now taken on the mantle of being the biggest cheat in the Premier league since Ramsey went abroad.

Didn't Purse get a red card that day but the Welsh FA overturned it so he could play in the FA Cup Final?

Even if it was just a year, he'd earn 4.6m from that deal.
If anyone offered 90k a week or more, he'd earn more in that first year from them.
The signing on fee would need to be loads more
