Dilemma re. tomorrow's ticket

Post by dsr » Fri Jan 07, 2022 4:51 pm

I wanted to buy a ticket for tomorrow's game, but the ticket office website won't let me log on because it says my email address isn't registered, but won't let me register because it says my email address is already registered. And the ticket office hasn't been answering the phones or returning messages all afternoon.

So do I:

1. Go to the ticket office tomorrow and complain that I should get a £15 ticket.

2. Go to the ticket office tomorrow and buy and use a pensioner ticket for the same money. (Yes, I can pass as a pensioner even though I have 10 years to go. :( )

3. Not bother going.

Any suggestions? :?:

The one thing not to do is bring the matter to the attention of the recently appointed female, who has the title of something like Supporters Liaison engagement manager.
Recently returning to the club from Manchester City, I spoke to her about problems with ticket purchases and the responsiveness of the ticket office over the phone
2 months later I have heard nothing .
My whole experience of the club at this level over a long period of time has been unprofessional and dismissive without any sense of accountability and responsibility
The only person I have ever found helpful is David Baldwin, who I have a lot of time for

Don't phone the ticket office. Its a premium rate number and nobody answers.
Cost me £14 in phone calls the last time I tried buying some at short notice. (It will be the last time I call that number. Not having anyone fleecing me like that)

The ticketing operation is embarrassing. The new owners have had a year to sort that very basic thing out.

If only somebody had already developed a perfectly fit for purpose platform BFC could use for selling tickets.

Come on Mr Pace. Sort it out.

I’m three years away from a concession ticket so don’t know if you have to prove ID when purchasing on the day. If you don’t have to then buy pensioner ticket as it’s not your fault you couldn’t access a ticket today.

Get yourself a concession ticket tomorrow, followed by a strongly-worded email to the club.

I work with a Bradford fan and summer time last year he was buying a season ticket. Honestly it was such a breeze for him on their website. It was done in about 5 mins. Our ticket website it awful and the ticket line is even worse. Its easier to buy tickets for non league Colne than it is for Burnley.

Just ring the 01282 number next time. I’ve rang countless times and never been charged and always found them helpful.

For some reason, not everybody has the same problem

I renewed 3 season tickets quicker than your Bradford mate

I've bought individual tickets for away games, and cup games without any problem.

Nobody I attend the games with have any problems

All done online. Could it be user error in some cases? Does the online system react differently depending on which operating system you use?

I purchase random Cup tickets on line having them uploaded to my Over 65 ST Card and have never spent more than a minute doing it.

I often wonder what this supposed ticketing problem is all about.

Individual tickets I've never had a problem with. Buying a season ticket was very hard work online for my family member and ended up having to go to the ticket office. Mobile site is rubbish. Desktop is better. It 100% can be improved and made much simpler.

I order all the tickets for our group of 5 on my phone easily.
The only problem I’ve ever had is ironically for todays game, when I was unable to select my dads seat for him after the STH period had ended
