Is that the oldest team we've put out?

Obviously Covid has hit late.
I was hoping Tucker might get a run out, shame really.

Collins must have COVID, would have been the ideal game for him

Should be a comfortable win.
Huddersfield have dropped nearly all there best players.

Stronger first 11 than I thought we'd have. Hope we get to see something of Helm later in the game.

I believe so along with around four other first team players who are notably missing from the squad.

I just can't figure Dyche out at all. What is the reason for playing so many regular first teamers, when we are in trouble in the league, we have young lads dying for a game and he has always made it clear he doesn't care for the cup?
*** EDIT*** ahh okay Covid, but still there must be some youngsters he could have squeezed in?

The lads need confidence through winning.

Why risk them when we are in such trouble in the league?

Must be. I reckon that will be one of, if not the oldest side in the entire FA Cup round this weekend.

So Taylor, Pieters, Collins, McNiell, Gudmundsson and Vydra are all smitten with it. Surely this should have been called off.

Apparently some of the better youngsters we have are loaned out to second division or National league clubs so the ones left will not be anywhere near Championship or premier league standard

Anyone thinking the FA Cup is irrelevant must be mad.
The alternative to those playing is probably schoolboy equivalent. That would be a disgrace.
We need players to be match fit.
Come on you Clarets

Dyche has never, ever made it clear he doesn't care for the cup, the exact opposite in fact.

Our better youngsters are still with us but that squad has been ravaged with injuries and illness too.

If it was a premier league game it meets the criteria for a postponement but doesn’t apply for FA cup

Completely disagree. We see it season after season, but now he suddenly pulls a strong line-up when we are in probably our biggest relegation fight for a long time.

Or maybe it is all we have available??? Huddersfield have more subs than us.
The only one that is strange for me is no Mancini on the bench maybe he also has it or maybe he wasn’t risked due to only just coming back from injury.

You can disagree as much as you like. If you had bothered to listen to him you would know his feelings on the FA Cup.
And I have to say, you have no understanding of the current situation at our football club in terms of injuries and covid infections.

We've hardly played in weeks. We need our best players match fit again don't we if we're to have a cat in hell's chance...? They were some way off against Utd and Leeds.

We can all hear what he says, but what we see from his line-ups and team performances, for the last few seasons, tell us all we need to know.
FWIW, don't take it so personally.

Understandable, but we have two huge games next week, is it worth risking some of these first teamers in this cup?

We had a great chance v Bournemouth to really do something and he put out a crap team, he's got an history of not caring about cup games

4-3-3 then with Lennon and Jay flanking Wood? Or more likely Lennon playing on the left.

No he hasn't! He just uses the squad. That's what it's there for. The cup is obviously never our no.1 priority but that doesn't mean that he doesn't want to win games.

A history of not winning many cup games agreed but whether he cares or not are 2 different things.
For what it’s worth we tend to play stronger teams in the FA cup than the league cup(whatever it is now called).
You can tell from the comments by woan etc and how many and who we have on here bench that is all we have.

Mancini has been injured for weeks. Before anybody asks, Lewis Richardson has been out since September.
Michael Mellon has also been out injured (one believes) for several weeks.

And that one game selection supposedly is proof that he doesn't care about winning any cup games! Give over!
