Help required please.
Asking for anyone with any recent experience and recommendations for using a good car body shop in Burnley/Pendle area? Sustained some body work damage (done in a car park by some twot unknown) and so need to get some quotes from good reliable companies.
Thanks in advance.

Fix Auto Blackburn
My car is currently with them (slid into a wall on the way to the called off Spurs game)
They have been great to deal with. I know they are at least VW approved assume the same for other manufacturers

Monmouth Garage, Park Road, Padiham, go past the leisure centre, under the railway bridge and it's at the end of the road on the right hand side.

Depends what you are looking for?
The likes of Fix Auto are good, but you pay for it like you do most big chains.
Paintworkz who are just off Gannow Lane are very good, independent and do a good job at a good price.

What about Radiation Resprays, they had a reliant robin parked off Colne Rd some years back. They were advertising full respray from £65.00 if I remember correctly.

Fix Auto Blackburn are not a chain. They are an independent bodyshop but expensive as they are probably the best in the North West. Volvo, polestar Audi, vw approved and when I went in with my BMW they are apparently on the verge of being manufacturer approved for them.

If you want a cheap job don't bother with Fix Auto Blackburn I would suggest. If you love your car and want a fantastic job doing then there is no bodyshop as good in my opinion.

Select Auto Bodies- Earby. I’ve used them a couple of times, excellent work and they used the correct manufacturers paint which didn’t then void the warranty on the car.

Just a response to an earlier post saying manufacturers paint was used on his car so warranty was not compromised. Unfortunately this is incorrect information. As soon as your paint depth changes from the original depth your warranty is invalid if you have a future problem on the panels that have been painted. The only way around this is by using a manufacturer approved body shop as then you get a guarantee from the manufacturer. You don’t get this from an insurance company either unfortunately unless you stipulate when you register a claim you will only have it repaired by an approved body shop which is very different to an insurance approved body shop which doesn’t mean a lot.

Correct. There is no such thing as ‘manufacturer paint’ in the refinishing business, even from approved body shops.
FWIW I’ve used Select Auto Bodies in Earby before and the work was very good - they used to be an approved body shop for BMW but I’m not sure if that’s still the case as both Lloyd and Macadam are BMW approved body shops in that area - but saying they use ‘manufacturer paint’ is just plain wrong if that is indeed what they said.

I can’t offer any recommendations, however this thread reminded me of when I was running around in a battered and bruised old banger in the 70’s. My mates used to say I had had more prangs than Len Wolfenden. The older ones amongst us will know who Len Wolfenden was.

When I last used Select, they were at that time recommended and approved by Lloyds. Both they and Lloyds told me the paint used was the recommended one by bmw and it did not affect any part of my warranty, especially the paint warranty, I used the word ‘Manufacturer paint” because they both recommended it, you can see why I would say that! I wasn’t trying to miss guide people.

Trust me, Fix Auto is a huge franchise, there are 100 plus in the UK alone.

Yes, there are manufacturer approved paint suppliers, but vehicle manufacturers buy in paint from paint manufacturers......the only trouble is they buy from various manufacturers so finding out which paint has been used on your vehicle is a bit of a minefield. Coupled with the fact that with globalised manufacturing of vehicles, something now manufactured in Eastern Europe or the Far East might have paint on from a paint supplier that isn't even available in this country, if car manufacturers can save £40 on paint, they will.
