Blimey, that would have confused all but the two clubs and their fans.
Nice Yorkshire derby, though.

I note all the big boys got winnable home draws funny that isn't it.
Great draw for Kidderminster home to West Ham, and that should be one of the TV games surely.
At least 5 non PL clubs guaranteed to be in the 5th round anyway.

Is it possible to rig the draw?
Liverpool.Chelsea City and Spurs all with easy home ties

Numbered in alphabetical order I thought, so we'd have been one of the lower digits in that case.
Not that it really matters who we get in the cups.

Stoke no.3
Southampton no.4
Obviously not alphabetical order?

Think it would have been Barnsley as I think they are numbered in order of the draw from previous round

At least both clubs could say they progressed to the next round and be believed!

The draw numbers are from the ties in the previous round, for example Stoke were the third tie drawn in round 3, so they are number3 for round 4.

Not done alphabetically. Draw numbers are taken from the previous round’s draw. Burnley v Huddersfield was the ninth game drawn out so the winners were number 9 in today’s draw.
So had we won yesterday it would have been Barnsley at home.

Thanks for clarifying.
We'd probably have gone out to Barnsley anyway, but it would have been worth it just to confuse the London based media.

Except it wouldn't because that's not how causality works.

If we had won (a very big HAD) we should have been playing Barrow because they had a stonewall penalty NOT given in the last minute.
