Qatar 2022 - World Cup

So this is the year a small Muslim country hosts football’s biggest event, it’s a seven hour flight to Doha, anyone planning on going if England get through?

Should be quite a spectacle.

with all the talks of boycotts it doesn't seem to be the best place for such a tournament.
The plight of the migrant workers and human rights issues are well known but there has been so much said and written about and yet players and officials are just expected to turn up and play as long as their respective FA's are ok with it. All well and good, but we have had individual players here taking their own stance regarding the BLM campaign. I can see problems along the way sadly.

No one really gives two hoots about ANY of those issues mentioned….. when there’s so much cash on the table (or should i say under it)

I will also not watch a signal game
We should have nothing to do with this farce of a venue and tournament

The England players won't boycott it. They're more interested in virtue-signalling than protesting against proper hardship and abuse.

I’ll not go, purely because it’s not an area of the world I’ve ever wanted to go to, it’s probably somewhere near the bottom of my list.
All that money and the grounds will no doubt be mothballed in 12 months, once they’ve had the champions league final there

Yes I suppose it does.

To clarify, FIFA, UEFA, anyone involved in organising this farce, and anyone involved in the decision making process to award it to Qatar in the first place.

Certainly the 6500+ migrant workers who have died during the construction of the stadiums won't be attending.

Could be a decent trip, if you have enough money you could stay in Dubai and just fly over for the games.

Be alright if it didn’t cost the Earth to get there before you even put the price of match tickets, food, drink and any other expenses on top.

Amount of money Qatar has, they should just subside everything to let ordinary fans go.

The most stupid decision. On a par with brexit. It should have been cancelled when it was
proven that the outcome was arrived at by bribery. They’ve had donkeys years to sort this out. The heat, played in the Winter months. I’m not interested. I hibernate for three weeks over Christmas anyway.

Great response to me straightening you out.

Why do you feel the need to respond to nearly every one of my posts. You're some kind of weirdo stalker. Does your wife not give you any attention or something?

I’m just glad that they got rid of him from FIFA. It’s so refreshing to see all of the positive changes from the new corruption free FIFA.

I can’t make Qatar but with upcoming biennial tournaments, I’ll hopefully make one in Saudi Arabia.
