Todd Cantwell

Apparently available for 15m this window.

Would anyone take him?

I think he would be a pretty strong signing for us. The right age and I think he would improve us. My only doubt would be if he could play in a midfield two.

Faded after bursting on scene?

£15 million?
His contract expires in the summer and he's only made 8 league appearances so not sure why he's valued so highly.

Worth a punt, but not at that price.

From what I can see he had a fall out with Farke. You could be right on the fee being too high. Could be a decent one to try and get a bit cheaper

5 to 7 mil tops

15m probably rules us out.

Aside from that, no, he wouldn’t play in a Dyche midfield 2 - though he would likely operate in the 10 behind Wood quite nicely.

He valued highly because that's what Norwich do
No giveaways
I assume he's a clubber as clearly his attributes have gone as he's not picked
Why if he's so good are Norwich getting shut?

Norwich have the option to extend a year so it's very unlikely he'll be off without a decent fee.

Hadn't seen that.

Request from Norwich a similar deal to Gibson-we take him on loan and agree to buy in 7 months, and agree a price up front. A third of that money is paid now, and the balance at the Summer window. He will be an asset whether we stay up or get relegated. Dean Smith has obviously seen his potential and has taken him back into the first team squad. A quality player who can keep possession, make good passes and chip in with goals. Definite improvement on all our CM's

There will be an offer for him from Newcastle any minute now

I saw on Twitter earlier (so not sure how reliable) that Newcastle have agreed a fee.

Shame. I think Dyche would get the best out of him.

I think we need to go for Newcastle players if I'm being honest. Let's get Shelvey in.
Hendrick can stay there.

Is it purely coincidence that Newcastle are being linked to their relegation rivals players?

And they can sign as many as they wish, but they can still only submit a 25 man squad to the PL.

They'll do well to replace Callum Wilson.

Indeed they will, and it's fine signing all these players, but EH needs to get them gelling very quickly.

I have a friend who is a Norwich fan (not Alan Partridge BTW): various "issues" concerning Cantwell.

He's not featured much under both Farke and Smith.

Cantwell looks a decent player but we don't play through midfield.
