Saw all the coverage of it on breakfast tv yesterday so gave it a go. They said that it gave you the first letter, as on lingo, but mine didn’t. Still got it in 3 but got lucky as my second guess gave me 3 letters in the correct holes.
Not really for me as I prefer maths problems to language ones.

Tried it after seeing the breakfast telly story yesterday.
Struggled with it today as I didn't know the same letter could be used twice.

Start with a 5 letter word if you get a letter going green it is a correct letter in the right place, brown ( ish ) correct letter in wrong place and grey is incorrect letter.

Just had a go. I got my first one in three guesses. I’m going to retire from it now, I can only go downhill from here.

Enjoyable, have a streak of 9 currently! Got yesterday’s word in 2 which I was very happy with.
Struggled today, got it 5/6.

Got it in five but wasted a go because I didn't fully understand it initially.

Got it in four, a lot like the game of Mastermind where you have to guess the location of the hidden coloured pegs.

You can download this game as an app called ‘Wordlets’ and select 5,6 or 7 letter words, but as a ‘word’ of warning some 7 letter words have an ‘s’ on the end, so are really thought of as 6 letter words.

Got it in 4 guesses on first try. Lucky to get two correct letters in the wrong place and then wasted a guess thinking orange meant they were perfectly lined up. Serves me right for skipping the instructions.

It was developed in America. I found this out a few days ago when there was an American spelling.

Got it in 5/6. Hadn’t realised a green letter may be used again elsewhere so wasted a few goes until I worked that out. Will no doubt be a regular now!

Sounds like you have already completed it. You get 6 attempts to get the word and you play once a day

This is just the same game as the CH4 afternoon quiz Lingo, isn't it?
I got it on the 4th go with my first attempt. I suppose the secret is using words with 5 different letters to maximise the chances of a correct letter guess?

Stupidly didn’t get it yesterday, hadn’t realised you could use the same letter twice for some weird reason

Had no letters even in the wrong place after my first 2 guesses today

I had a 2 as well which is the best score you can get. If you get it in one, then it's just a guess.
