B@stards without Diaz who’s on international duty.
Boro won there last 5 and will go 4 points behind B@stards with a game in hand if they win.
COME ON BORO !!

A Rovers win, they'll go 2nd and with a 10 point cushion to 7th place, however a Boro win and there's only 5 points that will seperate 2nd and 7th.
We need as many trams as possible in the hunt for that automatic position place.
Come on Boro!!

"We need as many trams as possible in the hunt for that automatic position place."
Do they have the old trams in Blackburn or new ones like in Mcr?

Come on Boro and cap a decent weekend for Burnley fans.
Baring a spectacular collapse Fulham will be a PL club next season, so it's only 2nd place up for grabs.
Be hilarious if Rovers did what we did under Stan and failed to even make the play-off's after riding high midway through the season.
Not impossible we stay up, and they fail to win promotion.

should be a good game. Rovers looking good this year. young squad who are very good to watch. Play some good football. wouldn't bother me if they went up. Im past all that rival malarkey.

Rovers winning ugly that's a good sign for them, and without their main marksman as well.
If we can stay up we may have a couple of tasty local derbies to either enjoy or endure next season depending on your outlook.

Rovers had something like five first-teamers out, none of which are even down to COVID-19, which is surprising in itself.
From a Lancashire point of view I wouldn't mind them coming up if we can stay up, but I think they'd do us on all fronts if they did. We've had a good laugh at them over the last decade but they seem to be sorting things out...

Same could be said about the vast amount of our games last time at that level. A lot of the games were absolute turgid. I remember going to Wolves away after we’d just been Rovers 1-0 and it was a horrific 0-0.

what a good result for rovers with such a young team as well. they are getting that momentum. going to be interesting. its good for east Lancashire without a doubt

Blackburn have a young team so they could all keep improving, but they are know where near premier league standard at the minute. They would take heavy pastings everywhere, unless the Venky's splash 100m.
It would better for them to miss out and get stronger. But then if they really do have any prem standard players other clubs will buy them.

I thought it was a pretty poor game standardwise when you consider these are two teams fighting near the top of the division. I'd be pretty confident the team we had that title winning season would be head and shoulders above these two.
Blackburn edged a poor first half when Boro just failed to turn up. Second half Boro stepped on the gas and had Blackburn penned in until the medical emergency more or less saved Blackburn and reset the game. Took advantage of a shocking piece of defending and then hung on.
Like i said if that is the top end of the Championship standard it makes me more confident for next season should the worst happen. It's no wonder Fulham are banging in the goals for fun.

I suppose we're not Premier League standard, either, as things stand, but Rovers would certainly need to spend on quality if they went up. Something tells me if Rovers go up, they will probably splash the cash easier than we do, given that they don't have to fumble around for outside investment.
Still a long way to go, yet. The season could just as easily see us stay up and them stay down.

I feel personally responsible for this having placed a wager on them to be relegated this season.
I'm so, so sorry everybody.
