either way it's provided him with an opportunity to put a video out - that's the name of the game, so in being a bit of a plank Helm has actually helped Vizeh earn money - irony at it's finest.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Fri Jan 28, 2022 12:39 amUnfortunately helmclaret’s nonsense has flown over his head

Reading helmclaret’s comments back, it’s actually pretty surprising so many have taken his comment seriously, let alone spawning a YouTube defence. I mean, a ******* “slipper factory”!ClaretTony wrote: ↑Fri Jan 28, 2022 12:39 amUnfortunately helmclaret’s nonsense has flown over his head
If we’re getting into the realms of “what is wrong with the UK”, look no further than this thread indeed.

Re: Vizeh
Good morning pushpin. May I say, I completely echo your sentiment. Vizeh is doing his best and clearly doing a great job for both himself and family. He is talented at what he does. I’ve sponsored his charity challenges a few times. He’s a good bloke. As for rudeness, it’d be wrong of me not to point out that your comments to me (and accusations) were rude and inappropriate, but no doubt, water under the bridge will have clouded that situation. Take care and have a good day anyway. J

he’s not out selling drugs to kids is he, he’s posting videos on YouTube , good luck to him.

You’re either fishing / utterly ignorant of the circumstances ( fair enough ) or “ vizeh” himself . There were multiple attacks outside the ground including stabbings ( the usual Greek thing you’d expect ,ambushing fans and bizzarely attempting to stab peoples lower legs etc ) while of course this wasn’t Vizeh’s fault per se, at a club where away fans have been banned for years due to crowd trouble ,it is indeed the antics of a bellend . That hardly precludes him from putting his skillset to good use though .CharlieinNewMexico wrote: ↑Fri Jan 28, 2022 10:17 amSo integrating with other football fans makes him a bellend. Hmmmm.

Some of the comments on here reflect the nastiness and bitterness that is sadly around in our society, not just within football fans.
This lad hasn’t had it easy, he’s a highly passionate claret, he doesn’t make our club look bad, or embarrass it in any way, so if he wants to promote his passion on social media, and make himself a few quid in the process…then all the bloody best to him!!

I seriously can’t understand why anyone would get uptight about this sort of thing. If you don’t like it, just don’t watch it. This especially applies to online stuff, where you have to specifically seek it out. It makes no sense when you have the power to switch off/over or whatever. Some people don’t have that choice so easily.
My wife, on her days off insists on watching:
Lorraine Kelly- an hour from a woman who finds it impossible to leave even a second unfilled by the most annoyingly accented voice, followed by
Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby - 2 and 1/2 hours of drivel from a complete narcissist and an affected empty head, punctuated by periods of mindless giggling when the show starts to fall a bit flat, followed by
Loose Women - a one hour scene from Macbeth every lunchtime at 12:30. 4 harridans shrieking over the top of each other, punctuated by gurning to the camera when the camera cuts to any one of them.
Throughout this 4 and 1/2 hour cringefest there is a relentless barrage of premium phone line competitions.
My choice is sit through this shite or bog off somewhere, anywhere to get away from it. This of course gives rise to the inevitable “why can’t you spend some time with me on my day off?”

The lads made a shed load of cash from firstly watching his team home and away. He talks about mental health, clearly has thousands of followers and views. Any input he give the club and vice versa is good for both sides.
I'm not one for being soft on people but picking up on a speech impediment when the lads clearly winning at a young age is brave. Tbf he probably had had comments all his life so Id suspect it'll wash off like nothing.
I say fair play to him. Some folks need to catch up to the current century were in. Slipper factories hahahaha

Lamberts had factories at Rawtenstall (alongside the railway line which is now Bocholt Way), Finsley Gate (Burnley) and Whitwell Bottom as well as other places I'm sure. David Whitehead (Chemicals) was beside the railway line up at Waterfoot, up a side street behind the old police station .

It was a slipper or shoe factory my mum worked in. The old 'new' road bypassing Bank St to the bridge (Tup bridge).

My grandad worked for Lamberts at the Whitewell Bottom factory and lived for a spell on Osborne Terrace which was basically looking right onto the plant. He'd left Lamberts by the time I was born and was at a similar factory in Blackburn, but he was apparently a designer and used to tell the story that it was he who came up with the trade mark and trade name "Osbornia" which they used on many of their shoes whilst he was living on Osborne Terrace. How true? I really don't know as grandads do sometimes tell stories.

I think the official term is Diddymen. My honest opinion is that Custard is telling Porkies because I doubt whether he has ever been anywhere near Knotty Ash if he doesn't know the correct word for the Jam butty miners (not Jam).Marney&Mee wrote: ↑Fri Jan 28, 2022 2:44 pmI don’t think you can call them dwarfs anymore. And frankly I think it's an absolute disgrace for someone to come onto a message board claiming to have done a "proper job" when clearly they've never been anywhere near a Jam butty mine.
I worked in the mines for twenty years and look what it did to me - I have a terminal sweet tooth and sticky up hair. It's not pretty
I demand that the board sacks Custard as he is clearly a charlatan. In fact, I bet he has never even met a slice of apple pie or a cherry crumble.....!
Disgrace

Funnily enough, so did my mum. She also worked at Lamberts as did both of her parents. David Whiteheads employed top artists in the fifties and sixties to design their fabrics and some are available now as expensive limited editions. Ultimately they moved production to Africa I think.Buxtonclaret wrote: ↑Mon Jan 31, 2022 9:29 amAh right.

My grandad and grandma both worked for Lambert’s. Osbornia can still be seen written on Greenbridge.
