I’ve heard of him but have no idea about American Football so can someone please explain to me how you can have a 22 year career without a losing season yet only have won 7 Superbowls?

Probably Brady's least favourite stadium. The likes of Jason Taylor and Cameron Wake used to love it when he visited

Nothing wrong with the question. They tend to class anything over 50% wins during the season as 'winning' so 9 wins, 7 losses for example

There's some people in their chosen sports who transcend their professions, and Tom Brady is definitely in that elite field.

I only follow American Football fleetingly, but even I know all about his amazing career.

7 Superbowls is that an all time record, guess it must be pretty close, and he's achieved success at different teams, and also at different stages of his career.

they would also classify 8-8 as a "winning" record as well.

The 7 super bowls are probably his biggest achievement, since they are very difficult to get to multiple times ( due to the competitive balance of the league (salary caps, NFL draft, free agency...)

Saw him playing for the Patriots. Seeing up close the skill levels involved to see the pass and then execute it with precision whilst having 5 defenders trying to trample him was amazing.

A slightly strange tribute to him on sky sports. As if they'd never heard of deflategate.

Hands down the most successful qb of all time. I never warmed to him, mainly due to his little tantrums with team mates during games. Not a person I'd want to play with. A bit like Roy Keane.

He was the 199th pick in the 2000 NFL Draft and probably been the best NFL player since 2000.

Every now and again, sports folk come along who just take their sport and their ability up to another level and mean people who have zero interest in that sport, know exactly who they are. Not because they’re the face of Nike (my wife wouldn’t know Neymar from Nick Pope) but because they’re just immense. Tom Brady is one of those. He deserves to be filed alongside (a not-exhaustive) list of people including :-

Muhammad Ali (Sporting achievements only, I get he transcended the sport)
Tiger Woods
Michael Jordan
Usain Bolt
Pele
Lewis Hamilton (sorry!)
Roger Federer

I’m not wanting a debate here but what Brady has achieved is just sensational. His age and ‘7 superbowls in 22 years’ is not the story. This guy dragged a franchise to numerous superbowls. Then left. And dragged another, screaming and kicking, to a Super Bowl. He’s an amazing sportsman. People like Mahomes might try and revolutionise the role of a QB but I doubt anyone will beat Brady’s record.

and here was me thinking Robbie had found something better to do !

Most players in the same Man United side said Keane was hands down the best captain they played with. They're both winners and demanding of their team mates in the pursuit of success, nothing wrong with that. I think there are quite a few football sides who could are lacking that kind of presence!

As for Brady - he hasn’t actually said anything himself.

It’s just **** bag Adam Schefter trying to be first to everything sticking his name on reports.

He has history for it - like last season with Rodgers and Green Bay etc

So that instead of talking about cincinatti we have half an hour of talking about Brady again.

And then another lot when he actually does retire.

It's a bit like turning on to watch Southampton v burnley and the build up is bleating on about Liverpool and man u.

Somebody has said something to schefter I suspect, but who and what, we'll never find out.

Buccs were put in an awkward position, they didn’t want to lose him but if they went all in on a top QB it would be a salary cap problem to welcome Brady back. Freeing him to join the 49ers. It’ll all come out in the wash.

49ers wanted to trade for the rights to Brady incase he came back.

Someone paid more $500,000 for the "last" touchdown ball Brady threw! Must be feeling good about that right about now!
