Ive got a Dutch mate - Tiew Lippz (from Amsterdam) who reckons the pronunciation is Woody WoodWoods (the equivalent of our Willy Woodward I think).

From watching games with Gernan commentary where he has played in, the pronunciation is Vout Veghorst.

The 'h' in his surname is similar when trying to clear your throat. There's no comparable word in the English language that uses this sound. The 's' in his surname is a 'shh' sound.
