No over reaction, I know the conditions were very bad but wow it was like a Sunday league game up Towneley.

No quality, lost count of the amount of times both teams put the ball out of play and misplaced passes.

We are bottom for a reason that’s where we will finish. We are by far the worst team in the league.

Rightly got booed off, Championship next season even the most optimistic fan surely can’t see a way out of this.

Our 0-0 vs WBA at home the other season was a real shocker

Utter dross.

Slow, turgid hoofball. Can’t pass, can’t create, can’t score.

We will finish up with 31 points. 12 more 0v0 draws and a 0v8 drubbing from City to make up for the 3 goals they missed out on earlier in the season

Livened up in the second half, by what looked like a black dog poo bag, blowing around in the wind. It was a little reminiscent of the scene from American Beauty. Sadly it blew away and my attention shifted back to the dire display of “football” on show.

When someone’s hat was blowing around, and then what seemed to be a cushion or a pillow blew onto the pitch made for an amusing few minuets

Worst Premier League game ever was at Elland Road when George Graham was manager.

Doubt there will be many games on at Towneley tomorrow. I was disappointed at the final whistle but on encountering the weather conditions round by the Jimmy Mc I changed my opinion. Virtually impossible to play football in those conditions and I wonder if it might have been abandoned at half time but for the furore surrounding this fixture.

It was wet and windy, granted, though nowhere near to needing the game to be abandoned. I’ve seen far better performances, in far worse conditions than those.

Most goal kicks weren’t holding up that much, they were getting to half way and beyond. We’ve all been at games where the keeper struggles to even reach the half way line with his kicks, it wasn’t that bad tonight.

Let's not go over the top. Absolutely not. But it's very worrying that despite doing well for games against better sides where we gain decent points we have played the worst against Newcastle Leeds Norwich and now Watford.

That spells relegation to me

Fair enough but I'm wondering which games you've seen at this level where conditions were worse. For me there are two major aspects of a game at professional level that we expect; controlling the football and passing the football. Both were seriously impeded tonight. You finished off saying 'it wasn't that bad tonight'. Just wondering what you would suggest could be worse. And I am excusing the players efforts tonight, from both sides. They 'got on with it' but surely it has got to be worth more than that.

Poor conditions. Poor players. Negative Managers frightened to lose. Nervous crowd. Injuries and Covid. It was never going to end well

No, every week this season people have said the game just gone was the worst they'd ever seen. 2 reasons.

1) Coumpouding frustration week on week.
2) Recency Bias

This was not our worst performance by a long shot, we've had many similar boring 0-0. However, the league situation is probably the worst we've found ourselves in.

This made me chuckle as that very scene, with the bitter sweet music is exactly what I thought of.👍

Our build up - such as it is - is so slow and predictable. The only player trying to pass down the channels was the right back. This depends on forwards moving too. He put one in the channel for Rodriguez in the second half and JRod didn't read it and stayed motionless on the centre spot.

Similar for me  JH around the half way line there was a pillow blowing around on the pitch. (same size as used in bedding) Who brings a full pillow to a football game !

Had I known what was to be served up last night, I’d have been tempted to bring one myself.

It wasn’t near “abandoned” because of the quality of the pitch and the drainage. You may have been to windier matches but I don’t believe you’ve been to the Turf when it’s been as wet, windy and cold, well not in the last 40 years.

I remember a game in Stan's last season with us that was postponed just before kick off because of high winds( presumably seen as a danger to spectators) yet last nights game continued with arguably much worse conditions and spectators in the ground. I'm all for 'getting on with the game' but at points, certainly in the second half, conditions were as bad as anything I can recall and as for having seen 'far better performances in far worse conditions than last night' I simply ask when?

The creative movement and unshackled tactical freedom displayed by the poo bag got my vote for man of the match, such a shame its fellow midfielders played like the contents of our star midfielder.
