Quite good, anybody else playing it?.So simple yet quite addictive.

Yes, I play it every day, if I remember.
The game has been sold to the New York Times, so eventually I suppose we'll have to pay to do it.

Am doing it too ... quite clever but anyone who is adept at crosswords can get the answer reasonably easy ... certainly within 5 ...conyoviejo wrote: ↑Mon Feb 07, 2022 3:52 pmQuite good, anybody else playing it?.So simple yet quite addictive.

Very addictive as you say.

Re: Wordle
Yes. There was a thread about it a couple of weeks ago. I got my first in three and said I would retire after that but I’ve actually carried on. It wakes my brain up a little in the morning. I think my best effort/ the most difficult was ‘wrung’

is it available on android? just bought a tablet and trying to fill it up with good games and apps.
Re: Wordle
If you want something a bit harder, try Absurdle.
https://qntm.org/files/absurdle/absurdle.html
It doesn't start with a solution word - so your first try always comes up blank, it narrows down the list of possibilities based on your guesses. It can't be done in less than 4 tries. Your job it to get the AI down to only having one word left in its library.

No app - just a website.
Obviously you can make the website link look like an app if you need to

Re: Wordle
Just tried Wordle, Lewdle and Nerdle for the first time - got them in 3, 4 and 4 respectively.
The problem with the last two is that it has to be a legit lewd word each time and a legit calc each time. That in itself works the brain out. Probably best not to play Lewdle moments before sending a works email.

Re: Wordle
I like Nerdle but today's solution is beyond me. Had to search tinterweb and still not got an explanation. To me and simple maths it does not compute.
I won't spoil the fun for anyone, but If somebody could prove the calculation then i't would be appreciated.
Cheers

Re: Wordle
BIDMAS… brackets, indices, division/multiplication, addition/subtraction. There’s a priority order on what operations are done first. Think of it as having brackets around multiplication/division expressions so to work those out before addition/subtraction operationsblsclaret wrote: ↑Sun Feb 13, 2022 12:46 pmI like Nerdle but today's solution is beyond me. Re: Wordle
Sorry for bumping the thread but I've just done today's and got it right at the second attempt. Was somewhat fortunate to just choose a first word and get three of the letters correct and in the correct position.

Re: Wordle
Start word for me is usually "earth" or "heart" then go with "pious" second and then look where I am.
Re: Wordle
I always start with a 3 vowel word. Irate, mouse, pause etc. it’s a good game.
Re: Wordle
All vowels and s t r make that a good start. I’ve heard media and spout are often used… very similarGuller Bull wrote: ↑Sat Feb 26, 2022 6:56 amStart word for me is usually "earth" or "heart" then go with "pious" second and then look where I am.

Re: Wordle
Why have you got it in for anti-vaxxers? You just made that up. Everybody knows that wordle is just a plot so that Elon musk can access your phone data. When you get the word right and are feeling all George Clooney about yourself, it triggers an access code to the pentagon.
Best to never get the word right. They can't get you that way.
Re: Wordle
Yesterdays (Friday 25th) was hard, especially as I thought you could only use each letter once, I only found out last night that wasn’t correct.

Managed it in 3 today and my normal start word "earth" did not give me one correct letter which is unusual I find.
