A good start to Superleague season with wins for St Helens, Wigan and Warrington. Nice to see it on channel 4 and hope it attracts new viewers.

The Channel 4 coverage today was excellent and a great game with Warrington fighting back to nick it 22-20 at Leeds.

Ah the simple rules game which no one cares about.
Union is where it’s at boys and girls.

It is perfectly possible to enjoy both you know. And I'm glad RL is now back on FTA telly that can only be good for the sport and generate new followers.

Nothing simpler than fat public school boys piling on each other.
Great game is RL. All rugby is really but I personally prefer league. It’s the speed and power. Union has caught up as far as fitness and conditioning is concerned but taking the tackle and immediately getting in with it makes for a better spectacle for me.

aint no fat public school boys in scotland/ireland/wales where union is the code... lets be honest outside the M62 corridor nobody is interested in league.
League is just a streamlined version, less players, run, tackle recycle.... union just has so many more dimensions tactically, and contested possession is a must.
league to me is just meh.... its like a david bowie track, i dont dislike it and its ok on in the background when nothing more interesting is available.

For me the jury is still out surrounding C4 coverage. Mostly good, some bits poor, referee had a shocker but as 2 of the commentary team are current players neither dare call him out.

Will be switching on shortly, Castleford looked a poor team last night and could be in trouble this season.

Field is a helluva player, making up for lost time due to his 2021 season injury.

Good to see him doing well.
He is a Wollongong boy. My new home town. Never really given a chance at the Dragons in First grade. He was prolific right through the Juniors. Was never going to get a chance at the Eeels whilst Gutherson was there.

Thanks for the heads up conyo, never thought to look at Ch4.
What on earth was Luke Gale doing?

Good night for me with both Munster and Wigan winning.
Can’t understand the dislike for either code. League players are smaller but more athletic, 80 minutes non-stop. Union players are bigger and stronger but less mobile and need all the breathers the rules give them.
I tend to watch the league live and record the union as I can ff through all the stoppages.

Never seen a studs up challenge before in rugby of either code ! A shame as Hull were already up against it and now it's just a foregone conclusion.

Jason Robinson (AKA 'Billy Whizz' ) proved that class players can adapt to both codes.
Wigan looking strong even this early in the season.

My favourite all time but not the best example as he was out on his wing most of either game.
There have been successful converts in both directions.
