Well at least

There was sweat on the shirts again.
Could have been so, so different had there been a bit more composure in front of goal.
It can still be done.

Us, Norwich and Watford for the drop, I think.

We've too much to do.

It is looking like a very, very difficult task now. As someone said on another thread, our lack of goals is alarming and what will ultimately cost us if we don't change that quickly. Could and should have taken something today, another game gone and now a 7 point gap suddenly looks very worrying when we can't buy a win. We are playing some better stuff recently, and maybe goals/points will follow but we really are running out of games.

1 goal in 4 games. Watford game apart, weâve played really well in the others games. We canât afford to miss the chances we did today. We need wins.

Brentford, Watford and Leeds was 250/1 on Sky Bet this morning, wouldnât rule it out if we can put some results together.

Running out of games?? Weâve got 17 left!
Played Arsenal Utd and Liverpool twice, so today didnât make a blind bit of difference.

We'll need a ridiculous upturn in form/results if we don't win a couple of matches very soon so I'd say we are running out of games. We could stay up by winning the last 6-7 games in succession, a bit doubtful though. At this stage it doesn't matter who we are playing, we need wins.

Plenty of effort but no end product sadly.

And we don't look anything like being capable of getting them.

It never was the lack of goals. It was the inability to hold onto leads that may ultimately cost us. We never used to concede like we have done this season.

I understand what you're saying, but with Newcastle winning again the scoreboard pressure will just grow, not impossible we can make up the deficit, but it's looking increasing tough as the games pass.
Defence has been solid enough recently, the problem is we can't stick the ball in the net.

Newcastle were always going to pull clear. If we stay up, either Brentford or Leeds will go down

Weâre done.
Loving the effort levels and the application, unfortunately we didnât have those things in the games we really needed them.
Itâs disappointing the adventure is over, but it IS over, and no amount of positivity on here will change that.
Burnley were great today. Very proud of them.

Definitely earlier in the season, I do feel we are more solid now and arguably have the bit between our teeth but it does look like too little, too late. We clearly don't score enough goals - we haven't conceded many recently, we used to be excellent in nicking tight games by the odd goal. If we can find that formula quickly then we have a chance.

the problem is Newcastle are winning, Everton are far too strong, Brentford have Erikson to come in and Leeds will score more than we do and pick up points .......... so who is it we are going to catch ? We've left ourselves far too much to do unfortunately

We are down. Would take a miracle to keep us up. We can put a shift in and keep a score line tight but we donât look remotely like winning games and we donât look like scoring. Nothing has changed on this front all season. Dreadful season overall. Personally looking forward to a fresh start in the Champ.

In previous seasons apart from one we have reached safety then fallen away. This season we need to perform right up to the end then you never know!UTC

We played well today. But we are lacking up top, and that is what will take us down.

We had about 5 chances to score today,2 from Weghorst,1 from Jay Rod,1 from Cornet and the Ben Mee header.

Our goal difference and number of defeats for a team at the bottom is quite surprising. At least we've improved recently performance wise; shame we can't buy a win

Thought the mee header chance was the easiest chance for us, completely unmarked!

It always HAD to get a bit worse ( ars/man utd/ lpool) and Newcâs wins have seen to that , before it can get better . Defensively weâve been fantastic and remarkably could have beaten all 3 of those â superpowerâ teams . The next 2 games will likely decide our season . 12pts adrift ? Weâre done . A win and 3-4 adrift ( and off the bottom) itâs very very much game on

Itâs the midfield thatâs so bloody negative, several times today we had chances to move it forward quicker but no we have to play it back. Without doubt that elusive midfielder we missed out on could possibly have made the difference today. Weghorst should have done better as should Jay. Fine margins

In the next couple of weeks we play two of our games in hand and are away to two teams that (if we play well) we can get something from.
We have to hope things start going our way and we take the chances we create but we've seen enough in the past couple of home games to suggest there is still a chance we can get out of this.
Hopefully we can be in a position to make the trips to Brentford, Norwich and Watford meaningful six pointers.

Still think Brentford are in the mix, and hopefully Leeds.
We need to now turn up for the games that are winnable, something we were quite good at previously.
