Laptop recommendations
Hi all. I’m going to be in the market for a laptop soon. I haven’t had much luck previously when getting laptops with them running slow etc. I just want to be able to play Football Manager mainly on a weekend, and maybe with an option to look at more games in the future if they become of interest. Just looking for recommendations really on the best value for money and the best sites to shop on. I probably will have a budget of around 1000.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Laptop recommendations
Asus TUF Dash F15 with a RTX 3060, if not 3050TI.
Anything will play football manager but you'll want an RTX3060 if you also want to try playing modem titles without having to reduce the settings too much.
Slowing down over time is inevitable, I'd expect about 4 years use from a laptop before you start to notice problems. A lot of that is down to poor thermals but you can't get decent thermals on a laptop unless you're spending a lot more money.

Re: Laptop recommendations
I've always been a Windows user, but after much consideration and returning to Uni last year, I bought my very first apple product - a macbook air (m1 variety).
I have to say it is a fantastic piece of kit. I've used it for assignments, video editing, programming and I have to say its just works really well.
I'm not one of those apple evangelist types, but if you want a laptop to not slow down after a couple of years, is instantly ready to use, long battery time etc... a macbook could be a good choice.
Oh, and FM22 is available on it too

Re: Laptop recommendations
I got a Huawei D14 last year following advice from posters on what specifications I should consider. A friend of mine also had one. A week ago I’d have said it’s been brilliant, and it has, but I’ve suddenly got a keyboard fault with letters F & R not always working and that’s ucking cap.

Thank you everyone for your recommendations. After much deliberation, I have gone with the MacBook Air m1. It was the longevity that did it for me. A lot of money to pay for other computers not to last as long. Thanks again all.

They are great until you have a teams meeting and everyone can see the contents of your noseClaretTony wrote: ↑Wed Feb 16, 2022 1:59 pmI got a Huawei D14 last year following advice from posters on what specifications I should consider.
