I left the Dyche out brigade several years ago, can I now gloat at others who wanted him gone?

I did however say if we were relegated, I wouldn't mind seeing a change of manager just to mix it up.

It’s to highlight how many times we’ve been here and that Dyche has earned, time and time again, significantly more respect than he’s shown by a few on this message board.

I am genuinely buzzing tonight don’t worry.

I never wanted him out, but after Leeds I genuinely couldn't see this lift in form, it seems every time he and the squad come under question they come up with the answers.

I'm certainly not taking anything for granted, and we still need to maintain this type of form for a fair while longer yet, but we've given ourselves every chance, and in the process dragged several teams right into the dogfight, also crucially we've given ourselves some breathing space to Watford and Norwich, and still have 2 games in hand on both, if we can start to create a gap from them, then we only need to finish above one other from the pack just above us, and some of those teams are on dreadful runs of results.

It was a disgrace some of the crap he got on here-I never doubted him.performances have been reasonably good all year we more often than not finish strong, deffo got our mojo back you fancy them against anyone when they get on that run. There will never be anyone better than dyche but the inevitable might happen one year and we will go.But for them who relegated us 4 weeks ago all I will say is like every other year your wrong again!

They never learn.

Next time we lose two or three on the trot, the ‘Dyche Out’ thread will return.

Entitlement is something I thought only existed at top 6 clubs but it’s sadly more of an indictment of the general fan culture that permeates amongst all Premier League sides.

Yes he needs to go, he should have had Richardson on after 60 min but he doesn't trust youth. He was extremely lucky tonight with choosing tarks over collins. Roberts and Lennon are far too lightweight and got bumped off the ball too easily.

The best thing about our upturn in form aside from the obvious is that it bins the idea than Tony Loughlan was responsible for all our good tactics. I didn’t really believe that at the time and defensively we look to have really tightened up. At this rate Tarky will leave a hero, like a man possessed.

Always branded myself a happy clapper as I have followed Burnley all over the country for 25 years or so, and as my kids do now. Always backed Dyche and ALK. We're all Clarets and want the best, lets just all unite and make the Turf like it was tonight, sensational. I roared myself dry in the Cricket Field Stand, let's fill it and make noise.
In Burnley We Trust.

Obviously not ******* money away on nostalgic likes of Jay Rod etc is doing wonders for us.

This certainly isn't down to Dyche.

Rumours of the Dyche out brigade are, as ever, greatly exaggerated.

I remember the thread asking if people were Dyche in or out. A handful were out but most were saying don't sack him until the end of the season if we're relegated. Which was an absolutely fair position to take given how wretched we were.

Good thread.

so half arsed supporters regularly abuse the coaching staff, players, tactics, owners on this board about our team, and somehow THIS is seen as irrelevant?

Is it though? One of the most irritating things about football (IMO) is the knee jerk reaction of fans, and often club owners, who quickly forget how effective their manager has been, and call for their head (or sack them) as soon as a sticky patch is hit.

Strong argument for a large number of threads to be considered unnecessary to be honest.

I’m not detracting from a great victory, I’m still flying high. It just felt an apt time to make a bit of a point about the bed wetting, reactionary, anti Dyche muppets that dominate this board after every defeat with their own ‘unnecessary’ threads.

Utter tosh you'd seriously sack SD when we're on our best run of the season, and 2 points away from safety, :x and how is it too little, too late, I must have missed us getting relegated.

Yes Pace deals with the recruitment, but it's still down to SD to get them gelling as a team, you can't have it both ways when we were struggling to buy a win you slated the gaffer, and with some justification, but now we finally seem to have turned the corner you still refuse to give him any credit.

You do right to big him up if you're a big fan and enjoy all his successes.

But this thread is to have arguments with people that don't agree with you. The board doesn't need any more argumentative threads where it gets personal.

To be honest this board has always been an incredibly negative place after a defeat. Would love people to not be so reactionary, but it’s just the fickle nature of a lot of football fans.

The last few months saw a lot of negativity in the stands and a lot of criticism of Dyche. I strongly believe he deserves a lot more respect than he’s given by Burnley fans.

Onwards and upwards now hopefully.

People are entitled to their opinions, not all posters rate SD equally.
Some wanted change, that could be a change of manager or just an improvement in performance, which we have had recently.
I am ambivolent with regard to who manages the team as long as we win games.
I don't see this sudden upturn in performance as some kind of mamagement masterstroke, more likely players trying to guarantee new contracts.

Seen a lot of ‘I told you so’s’ on here and social media generally this morning.

I was never in the Dyche-out brigade and never would be (as I think he’s the best person to get us back up if we do go down), but I wouldn’t blame anyone who was. Prior to this last week we’d won one game all season.

I’m glad we didn’t, but most clubs would have binned him off by now.
