Hello football my old friend!

Football has been a bit rubbish for the last couple of years what with not being able to go on matches for ages and then our form being awful and missing more matches because of isolating. It’s all felt a bit crap for me and it seemed like football was perhaps starting to get away from me.

Well football is back! That was a feeling I haven’t had in over two years. The passion, the crowd, the lights, the weather, the tension, the result, the joy. It was all there tonight and I loved it. Welcome back football!

First time in a long time I got home and could hardly talk and had a headache for getting too excited at the football and angry at the ref.

I’ve got to admit my faith in this team and even the sport had taken a serious knock. The postponements, the performances, the points return, even the weather at times have got me so down.

There is still a lot of work to do but when the turf is as it was tonight it is irresistible. You see a team on the pitch give absolutely everything for that win. That team turned me into a crazy person in the stands. Both us and the team wanted that win so badly.

Well, I for one, have woken up speaking like Lee Marvin :D

Can't shout like I used to !!

What a thoroughly enjoyable night that was, despite the weather.

Well done to all that were there to create that atmosphere experience it.

A flame was rekindled last night.

"If you have the fans, and the players pulling in the same direction, then it's a powerful force"

Sean Dyche

You could sense the buzz outside the ground as we were leaving - haven't felt that in so long, normally heads down and gloomily walking to the car. Loved every minute of that last night.

I felt it after the second half v Man U when I thought we were terrific and I came away having really enjoyed myself watching us for the first time in ages. Thankfully we're carrying that on and last night was classic Burnley under Dyche and I was (am) buzzing. A long, long way to go, but after months of despondency it turns out the patient isn't dead and definitely has more than just a pulse!!

Yes yes yes. Great night. I too am hoarse. Enjoyed the match immensely.
Conte was an entertaning side show as well. He really does need treatment. Kane tried to ref the match. The ref left his cards in the dressing room. Our team and our fans were magnificent.

Spurs stocked with multi millionpound players and us with good sensible buys. A snapshot. Our half million pound CB outjumping their 42.5 million CB to score the winner. Get in Ben!!!

Im 56 and was getting a bit indifferent, hardly watch games on tv, certainly not champions league.

The postponements, weather, trying to renew season ticket, disappointment with the takeover etc etc. I thought of my dad who stopped going on and thought it was just me getting older.

Last night i was on my feet shouting at the ref, got home watched it on sky, couldnt sleep only went to bed at 2am.

Up this morning, i believe again, cant wait for Tuesday.

That sounds like very aggressive behaviour for a wet liberal.

Love that heading Martin. That's exactly how I feel after last night. I must admit I was totally fed up with seeing us bottom of the League playing crap and losing every week. I was looking forward to watching us in the Championship winning regularly and all the euphoria of a promotion season. But after these last three home games and the great performance at Brighton I'm back in love with all that the Premier League has to offer.

I fully understand Martin’s thoughts and agree with him.

Last season really was crap with not being able to go. It was almost like a fantasy league in that it was just something you viewed from home, it didn’t feel real.

So into this season and so frustrating with the results. We needed something to give us a real lift, to feel part of it again. Last night did. Just that.
