Time to be brave

Nothing is going to change playing 4-4-2, we have to get a midfield that works so it’s 4-3-3: 3:5:3 or some variation. Anything to enable us to become a cohesive unit who learn the virtues of the quick incisive pass.
Nothing to lose now, so let’s see some adventure, dynamism and risk taking.

Where can we sign up to this 3:5:3 formation?

I'm in.

Let's play Tarky in midfield

No Everton and Leeds can be caught but we need to make the opposition think. At present we’re just too predictable.
There’s enough talent if it’s deployed wisely.
SD always needs an excuse to be bold he never goes there voluntarily.

Yes 3:5:3 is about what we need, but 3:5:2 might crack it.

433 is the absolutely obvious solution to our Weghorst/Cornet/Lennon/McNeil conundrum.

We need 4-5-3.

Time to bag Dyche

The brave thing to do would be to sack Dyche, allow a new manager some time to settle in, instil a new brand of football and prepare good recruitment for the summer.

Whilst it is now very likely we will go down, it’s not over until it’s over. You fight until the end.

It's irrelevant if we just keep turning the ball round corners into space, it generally means giving up possession. The formation won't change that.

You HAVE been around for most of SD's tenure haven't you? :?

Time to accept the obvious, we are going down. Yet again Dyche cant get us up for an important game.
Sent us out for a draw, inept and woeful.
Players under no pressure as picked every week no matter how our form they are! McNeil an obvious example.
The club from manager to players is too comfortable. 10 players out of contract and he gives the captain's armband to Tarks who wants away.
Clueless, but hey all about fine margins!

Brave? We have Mike Bassett 442 as a manager.

True - but that’s another issue all together. The channels balls NEVER ******* WORK. What’s the point - the game plan seems to be to get your striker the ball near the corner flag once a game. Leads to a goal about once a season. Pathetic. Just have some bravery, play it forward to our striker who can hold a ball up as well as anyone, and get runners around him.
Not difficult to come up with a more effective game plan is it..!

He clearly didn't send us out for a draw. Brentford were in that space and got a lucky break late on.

SD has tried things in the past when desperate, remember Edgar in midfield which brought us a few vital points in that first season. There’s quite a lot of options available to him if he chooses, but you’re probably right he will stick with his framework. A framework which is now rather rusty, and needing updating.

We aren’t set up to win. A win is a bonus not the mission.
That has got to change if we are to have a hope.

That's rubbish. We clearly pressed at them today and with a bit more composure should have gone in front

Jay Rod and Cornet up front with Weghorst sat just behind the front 2 in a central role if we insist on hoofing it from the back

Should have been trying a variation of this weeks ago.

A bit of an over reaction on here tonight, saying our seasons over after today, why? Leeds and Everton are Struggling, Brighton in a bit of a freefall, Brentford didn't do a lot great cross from Erikson for there goal but other than that not a lot for there fans to be exited about, Collins sent off but there player on the left looked offside before crossing, and a soft penalty, similar to Barnsley's today, Jay had a great effort not long after coming on if is shot had been an inch lower or 6 inches to the right then that would have been in, fine margins, agree with some on not sure why Cork is not in starting line up, but there is enough games left in the season for us to stay up, bit of positivity guys and gals and keep getting behind the lads at least the fans there applauded but must have seen a different game to a lot on here. McNeil should be on the bench next game as he should have been this game. He is one of the main reasons we have been in the bottom 3 all season along with Westwood.
Big changes needed not the same old rubbish

Think you’re not far wrong Jedi but what with injuries and suspensions that particular boat appears to have sailed. Would have Roberts instead of Lennon but otherwise think it’s the way to make us competitive. 3-5-2 can quickly become 5-3-2 or 5-2-3 or 4-3-3. It gives us flexibility.

Three weeks to try out new formations and personnel.
Shame Collins won’t be there to try three at the back but it’s one of the options that needs exploring.
To go down without exploring new options would be sad.
Dyche has this three week window to get the side firing on all fronts, let’s hope he uses it wisely.
Man City has to be our next victory, followed by 4 more.
