Dyche going......

Keep reading if Dyche goes who do we get in, as fans that isn't our problem to have but trust me they will be a manager out there somewhere that will spot our problems and come up with a solution, in fact I'd say plenty of managers.
Personally I'd be getting him in the office and ask him to change if he isn't willing too I'd be giving him his pay cheque, I'd rather go down trying something new than sticking to this rubbish.
People say he'll bring us straight back up but this isn't gaurenteed but another season of rubbish tactics and football is.
If we did come back up what then another season of 442 in the prem getting spanked every week off average teams? It's the weakest premier league for years and were right down in the bottom few.
Mourinho won plenty with his style but football moved on and he didn't and doesn't win anything now and doesn't last at a club, Dyche is the same it worked then football moved on and Dyche won't this system will never work again it HAS to change.

May seem that way due to the amount of poor results, you'll only get to churn out your Dyche is wonderful speech a few times a season

Er, yeah

I look at the squad, where we are, what we are, and think we are a side that could finish 15th-20th every season

This year we might well go down, and there is a very good case for us and SD parting ways if that happens

I just don't think changing the manager now will make the difference that people think, because I look at the squad, where we are, and what we are

I’m not convinced that Dyche will leave if we are relegated. We were in a precarious position when the contract was agreed, surely the potential for relegation, and how we progress from there, formed an important part of those negotiations.

Some people really. Did Dyche miss those chances to score? What I would ask is this. Are the signings of Maxwel and Wout Dyche signings? I suspect well maybe not. The management has work to do with Maxwel to get a team shape that he fits into.

New signings were most likely not done by Dyche

Dyche only has ONE team shape and if the new signings don't fit into that formation and tactics, well that's tough

He won't leave, he's got a very good gig here, plus if we're being honest I doubt there are many ( zero ) clubs in the Premier League that would want him and/or fans welcome his football.

You can pick a lot up from well balanced opposition fans, and there are quite a few that label him a dinosaur and wouldn't want them near their club.

1 Brentford fan yesterday said, to say it was a big game you didn't look like it meant a great deal and other than Brentford mistakes created very little, probably the most easiest and comfortable 3 points of the season, he never felt at any stage they would lose.
He mentioned the Pope save, the one destined for the corner but for a clear away with Pope beaten , then the last ditch Collins tackle in the first half they could have easily been a couple up.

And you can't really argue with that on reflection.
They caused us issues on the break especially down our left.

Can’t see Bielsa wanting another gig in England. I’d add Knutsen from Bodo Glimt to the list though. But it’s whether the new owners want someone who is proven in the Chanpionship like Warnock or Pearson.

Poor thread title.

As for Dyche going, we simply won't be able to afford to relieve him of his duties. Not a chance another PL club will be in for him. I could potentially see an ambitious Championship club coming in for him who just want promotion, maybe a West Brom type when Bruce leaves.

However much I dislike the way we play, Dyche's record in the Championship is phenomenal, no doubting that, but my worry is that his appetite for the challenge won't be quite what it was last time. I'm not suggesting he'll just sack it off, far from it, but at a club like us it only takes a drop of a few percent and it could easily unravel. Letting a few things go here and there where previously he would have challenged it, and the culture can quickly shift away from what he wants. I'll be very interested to see how we go next year.

I like the style Knutson plays but just not sure if it’s too big of a step up.

Tbh that’s why I put Caberon on my list. What he has done at Huddersfield is nothing short of a transformation.

Who on earth is he accountable too. He wont leave as no other club would want him, and he has it easy at BFC. Time for the owners to start challenging the way we play, tactics, selection. At any other club he would be out with those results, and those repetitive post match conferences

Excellent points and it's safe to say SD is in his comfort zone, even more so now he's just penned a spanking new contract.

3 wins in 27, failing to win the crucial matches, when does he start coming under pressure?

I think he still has credit in the bank TBH, however it will run out soon at this rate. Perhaps the back to back wins and draw were a false dawn annoying thing is we just didn't build on them and that to a large degree is down to Dyche.

If we go down, a difficult decision for the owners. Do we stay with SD on the basis he has got us two promotions, which would probably result in more of the OOC players staying, than if we were leaving, then part company in November if we were not in the top 6 or 7 clubs.Or do we part company at the end of this season, if we are relegated, and go hell for leather and get someone like Steve Cooper at Forest, who has transformed the club, and also been successful with Swansea. This would allow a clear out of all the OOC players, and the new manager could build a new team around our better players still under contract. A few months ago I would have not been thinking like this, but recently I have accepted our current management team and set of players are going backwards. Our inability to string a few wins and score goals, particularly against the clubs around us at the bottom, suggests to me we will also struggle in the Championship. It has cost us survival. SD has become too big for our club, and with the background of results and performances some big decisions need to be made

I just think we need to be careful what we wish for, teams bigger then us got shut of dull managers just before or just after a relegation and have struggled. Obvious exception is Newcastle but that is solely down to the money.

This really isn't difficult to understand pal. It really isn't. Engage brain.

The subject is: "Dyche going......"

Now that is put across as fact. It's telling people who haven't yet clicked onto the thread, that he's going. It's nothing to do with whether I think he's going or not - it's the fact that the opening post isn't explaining why he's about to leave the club imminently.

Short version: It's click-bait and annoying.

Silly thread. There are no other managers anywhere who could do a better job or serve up better football. I don’t how we managed before Dyche ever came here or how we will ever manage in the future if he isn’t. He once did well for us you know so that means he always will. Things don’t change at all. Businesses should always stick with the same people indefinitely if they once did a good job. Credit in the bank always lasts forever. Change isn’t always good we should stick with what we know. We are only Burnley after all and we once played in the 4th Division so we shouldn’t expect anything better.

Should it not read “Dyche going nowhere”. One thing I believe he is not and that is a quitter, especially when times are tough. No doubt there are several on here that worshiped the ground he walked on when he brought us up the last time, now show some balls and get behind him and the team, it’s times like this that supporters show their true colours.

I think people are in for a shock if they think another manager can keep us in the Prem as easily as SD has done for these last few years.

Hence why no club of comparable size has lasted more than a season or two in the PL.

Impossible to know but also quite naive to think SD is the only manager in the world good enough to keep us up. Though to be fair you also thought Eddie Howe would be a disaster at Newcastle but he’s been outstanding so not sure your judging of managers is up to scratch.

I doubt anyone would think there isn't another manager in the world good enough to keep us up for six seasons. That'd be daft. Whether those managers would be at Burnley for six consecutive PL seasons or even at all is another matter.

Prior to the Newcastle job he'd got Bournemouth relegated and at the end of his time with us was about to be sacked so I'd think it was a very fair assumption to make, considering the amount of goals Bournemouth let in

I wouldn't normally say it's a good idea to sack a manager during the season, but with so many players out of contract, it could be worth the new manager getting to see the players before deciding if he wants to keep any.
Unless the owners have decided that none of them will be offered a new contract regardless?

I don't see how we could replace 10 players in one window going off recent ones.
