Just seen it on MOTD.
Brilliant performance.
I remember when we could do that, when Sam Vokes mullered em a few seasons back.

This sort of occasional thing gives a fleeting hope for the Premier League.
If Brentford stay up it will be a fine achievement on the lines of Sheffield Utd or Huddersfield. I don't suppose their manager will get the Manager of the Year award, like Wilder or Wagner didn't, but in my book he would deserve it. The only recent worthy winners have been Pulis at Palace and Ranieri at Leicester.

Love the model that Brentford have developed. As history suggests, though, next season will be the big one. They will be hoping they can convince Eriksen to stay / no huge club comes in for him.

Incredible talent
3 assists and 1 goal in 5 apps.
He’s the difference for them this season.

Maybe an incorrect use under the circumstances (and not meaning to make light of what happened), but signing Erikssen was a masterstroke by Brentford.

Fully agree-when did we last sign someone, when on the day you went WOW. Ian Wright, Gazza, Robbie Blake, Djemba Djemba, Chris Eagles ???? How good is your memoryBelgianclaret wrote: ↑Sun Apr 03, 2022 9:29 amMaybe an incorrect use under the circumstances (and not meaning to make light of what happened), but signing Erikssen was a masterstroke by Brentford.

Weren't some doctors advising him never to play again?
Always a risk where players have had serious issues.

100% it’s as low risk as it comes. No transfer fee and relatively low wage. Had to pass all the medicals to get a deal.Belgianclaret wrote: ↑Sun Apr 03, 2022 9:29 amMaybe an incorrect use under the circumstances (and not meaning to make light of what happened), but signing Erikssen was a masterstroke by Brentford.
He’s the difference for them this season, they looked dead and buried until he came in. He’s there version of Defour

Ericksen will know his own body, and be mindful of the risks. I love the way Brentford got him fit first and gently introduced him too, and Denmark have mirrored this. Could turn out to be the most astute signing this season. Oh for vision

Re: Chelsea 1 Brentford 4
I feared he'd make a big difference to them. And as good as defour was at his age for us, a fit 29 year old eriksen is a different level again. They signed a genuine world class player
Re: Chelsea 1 Brentford 4
Yeah, he’s provided them ‘moments’ in games that score the goals and ultimately make the difference. Our game vs them a prime example, even game, if anything we were slightly more on the front foot, he provides an incredible cross on a plate for Toney.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 03, 2022 9:44 am100% it’s as low risk as it comes. Perhaps Cornet and Weghorst?warksclaret wrote: ↑Sun Apr 03, 2022 9:39 amFully agree-when did we last sign someone, when on the day you went WOW. Ian Wright, Gazza, Robbie Blake, Djemba Djemba, Chris Eagles ???? How good is your memory
Keith Newton; many of the players John Bond signed were still very capable for a Div Three side, most notably Kevin Reeves.
