Thank you, Sean.
You’ve given more to my club and brought me more amazing memories than I could ever have hoped for.
Wherever you go, it will be their gain and our loss.
Best wishes for the future.
A sad Claret

I’ve been watching Burnley since 1976. Sean has taken us beyond my wildest realistic expectations, and I was optimistic for the future even if we were relegated. A man of incredible intelligence, integrity and loyalty. Thank you Sean.

Yanks out Yanks Out Yanks Out.
2 threads removed and not a new one yet???
This is a despicable act by the Yanks.
Nothing but support and praise for Mr Dyche and Co.
Thank you for everything. Sick as a parrot now...stunned!

I can’t lie I’ve been wanting SD to leave for a while now, but he deserves immense praise for what he has done for the club and hopefully will be looked on fondly by all Claret fans, and goes down as a legend, but it clearly was time for change.
He’s given us many happy memories and some great results, beating them lot down the road and who can forget the 7th place finish.
Thank you for everything Sean

He's been absolutely incredible even if it went a bit stale at the end.
European football, two promotions, famous wins and of course all those wins against Rovers after so long.
I'm sure he's given many of us our finest Burnley related memories.
"23, 23 undefeated..."

Best thing to ever happen to our club.... Sean Dyche. Don't worry Sean won't be out of work long meanwhile Burnley FC ******! Plenty of opportunities he had to leave us and go to bigger clubs...... He showed Loyalty. Sadly they broke the mould when they made a Sean Dyche. We won't find another Sean!

The year we finished 7th, I had a wonderful time with my two teenage boys travelling up and down the country seeing some wonderful things and creating some amazing memories that they still talk about to this day.
He will always have my eternal gratitude and respect for what he did here, he changed the club beyond all recognition, pushed through changes to the training ground etc.
We've had some brilliant results over his tenure and spending several years in the top flight has been brilliant.

End of an era, created lifetime memories and did a hell of a job. I'd be excited for a refresh if it wasn't for ALK in charge.

Think I'm in shock....
Unbelievable.
Mr Dyche - I thank you for all you've done. I've had some of the best times watching Burnley with you in charge. Chelsea 3-2; Liverpool 2-0; many many others in both the Premier Lrague and the Championship. I wish you well in whatever you do and thank you, once again, for the pleasure you've brought us over the years.

Supporter for 67 years. Seen it all. The best and most successful manager this Club has ever had. Thank you for almost a decade of success , enjoyment and pride. A man of principle and standards. Good luck wherever the future takes you along with your backroom team.

Sean Dyche understood Burnley the place, the economics of Burnley the Town. Most of all he understood the fans. "No one Likes Us". Sean did! The Yanks can get some Southerner in or Foreign Manager. They won't get us. The won't like us. Dive bombing down the leagues now..... Likely this is all we all have to look forward to.

I'm in total shock this morning and devastated.
Huge, huge, thanks to Sean Dyche from me. Two promotions and seven Premier League seasons. You are right up there with the best we've ever had. So many wonderful memories.

Never felt as bad as this since the day they sacked Jimmy Mac in 1963.
Note I say they, it is difficult to want to be associated with Burnley FC on days like these.

Thanks for everything Sean. Best manager we have had in all my 47 years watching our team. This season has been a struggle at times but some key elements dropped the wrong side of those fine lines.
It's a shabby shabby way to end the relationship and I hope we don't regret this as a club but I rather think we might.

Thanks for 8 years of competitive football. You should have gone 18 months ago. On balance you have moved the club forward but you didn't value youth and were unable to change your tactics. Good luck in the lower leagues

I cannot see a way out of all this. Clubs losing a manager after so long rarely if ever do well in the short to medium term. We will get relegated now and spend many a year in the second or even lower tier of the Football League. Looking like a mass clear out in summer and a few gems sold to keep the finances going. Don't envy the next manager. How on earth have we managed to sack Mercer. Does Alan know what he has just done?

I’m not afraid to admit I’ve been downbeat and angry about selection and performances this season to the extent I posted the other day that I would never shout for Dyche out but wasn’t fussed if I woke up to the news he’d gone.
Well the reality is I feel sick. The greatest manage in my 33yrs following the clarets and he deserved so much more.
Mr Sean Dyche I will be eternally grateful for all you have done / given the club and me

Shock, but I would have expected him to go at the end of the season if/when we go down
But nothing but the highest praise for what he has done for us over the past nine years, and I seriously doubt we will be able to repeat that
Cheers for everything Sean

Done a great job over the years but needs a new challenge, will be picked up quickly by an aspiring Championship club or a Premier League side needing stability
We need waking up.

Gave me things I never expected. Whatever happens to the club, I saw us properly competing in this league and that is all down to him.
Assuming he never goes to one of our rivals, I wish him nothing but the best for the rest of his career. A thoroughly good man and one hopes this disgusting decision doesn’t taint his memories of Burnley as he one day needs to get the applause from us that the likes of Jimmy Mullen never got afforded.

The best manager we've had in my lifetime and I suspect in the club's history given how unfair the English pyramid is now.
It's been a magical ride and I'm not ashamed to admit the news has upset me this morning.
All the best Sean....! There is nothing I can say, two promotions, one Championship title and six seasons in the Premier League speaks for itself.

Absolutely shocked and as others have said extremely sad. I honestly thought we'd have waited until the end of the season and had a grown up, respectful discussion about the future of SD and the future of the club. ALK clearly think otherwise and I feel that's a shame and rather disrespectful. He's been brilliant and I can't thank him enough for everything he's done for the club, the town and my mental well being over his tenure. Some brilliant, brilliant memories which I never thought 10 years ago I'd ever experience.

What a great job he has done for this club. Two promotions, European football, another top ten finish, brought some great players to the club, kept us in the Division two seasons ago with about 14 players.
Thanks for all the fabulous memories.

Thanks for all you've done Sean, shame it ended in the manner it did, and we now face a huge decision over your replacement.
Sadly this has been on the cards for a while now, but I honestly thought Pace would have waited until the end of the season before making such a big call.

A big thank you to Sean from me for everything he has done for the club
As a lifelong Burnley fan I never thought I would see Burnley playing premiership level football again at the time he was appointed and to achieve this consistently with the financial resources at his disposal is a tremendous achievement ,
I wish him all the best for his future managerial career .
