After the Lord Mayors Banquet maybe a classic SD 1-0 er

After that exhilarating performance it’s all too likely we get some kind of reaction and falling away on Sunday.

Yes the shackles have been released the players playing with a smile, but sometimes you do need to grind out results and Sunday might well be one of those cases.

The classic SD 1-0 er

Little possession, mighty defending and often a sparkling move resulting in a clinical finish.

Will be interesting to see how we do approach Sunday but I fancy a slightly more restrained performance.

In some ways I hope I’m wrong and they go out and blow us and Wolves away, but after a short recovery period, that might be asking a lot.

At this point in the season it’s results that count and a win is vital

So maybe a little of the best SD offered will be needed.

Framework and resilience laced with excitement and entertainment.

All that matters at this stage of the season is results however they come.

Ideally we'd get a couple of early goals Sunday, but that's unlikely so we might have to dig a result out.

One thing is clear Wolves will prove a much sterner test than Southampton, and they'll still harbour European ambitions, so they won't be lying down.

It’ll be tough to lift ourselves alto those levels with such a quick turnaround and with Wolves well rested. The massive plus is that they’re without Ruben Neves

Don't care how we win, battered for 90 minutes then a lucky deflection of someone's backside and I'll be happy.
