Arsenal-Utd the key lunchtime game, and the winners if there is a winner will be cementing their top 4 ambitions at the expense if their main rivals.
Luton-Blackpool in the Champ, and Luton can almost certainly seal their PO place with a win.
Motherwell-Rangers also a key game in the SPL, Rangers probably have to win all 5 of their remaining games to stand a chance of denying Celtic the title.

Arsenal and Luton winning, another comedy moment by Utd's defence.

Arsenal 2-1 up.
Ronaldo just pulled one back for Manure.

I had a (very small) bet on this game ending 2-1 (just to add interest whilst watching on tv). Dont think there's much chance of that from what we've seen so far- two extremely flakey defences (v a couple of decent attacks). Looks like a 3-3 game.

Some good games in Europe this evening.
Bayern v Dortmund at 17:30 - Bayern will be champions with a win
Inter v Roma at 17:00 - Inter will go top with a win, Roma needing a win chasing top 4.

I'd forgotten about the Munich game.
Cheers for the reminder.

I think he's lucky. But I think he catches more of the foot than the ankle, so probably not enough for VAR to overturn

tackle very late with ‘studs-up’ and should be sent-off
VAR failure!

Big win for Arteta and Arsenal, Utd can forget top 4 now, and TBH if they had somehow squeezed into the CL spots it would have been undeserved over the course of their season.
Luton-Blackpool finished 1-1, should be enough for Luton in their PO bid, but they still need a win to confirm it dependent on other results.
10 man Rangers rally 2nd half to win 3-1 at Motherwell, Arfield played for nearly 70 minutes.

VAR was poor, Fernandez should have gone and the Xhaka gol should have been ruled out for offside

I think De Gea could have been given a 5 minute warning and he still wouldn't have saved it. Blistering strike
I see your point, but I don't think the last Arsenal player affects the end result

De Gea has to take half a step in the opposite direction and look around the Arsenal player. As great a strike as it was I was surprised it stood, most definitely interfered in play imho. You'd be gutted to have it ruled out though

City 3 Watford 1 at half time. For those who say City play tippy tappy, boring football, they should be watching this game.

Safe to say we can now write off the bottom 2, so the question is can we find one more side that we can finish above, Everton are the obvious target, but a win tomorrow, and defeat for Leeds on Monday then who knows.
BTW for those who think Villa are on the beach not on their display today they aren't.

They play Norwich at home next week, the week before they play us, so hopefully, they'll fill their boots against the Canaries then relax.
Hopefully...

Rovers PO hopes now increasingly slim after that Sheff Utd victory, and they really have to win their last 3, at PNE, home to Bournemouth, and away to Brum.

Brilliant, isn’t it?
Their capitulation post-Christmas is right up there with ours under Stan.

Should be a 3-0 win to Salford. Salford going for the play offs and it isn’t fair on them to have to reply the game. Either that or resume the game midweek from the point it was stopped.
If the whole game is replayed it sets a dangerous precedent. Losing and going down/staying down? Just invade the pitch and get it replayed.

Surely the only thing to do is to award the game to Salford, 1-2, because that was the score when it was
abandoned.

Strange how football works - Salford is the game that relegates Oldham - Paul Scholes co-owner of Salford, huge Oldham fan and former manager.

It'll be even sweeter if we stay up and they stay marooned in the Championship, which is now a distinct possibility.
