Can only think Cornet is injured. Bizarre putting Jay Rod on the wing though.

Why would an Everton player know our line up?
Wouldn't be the worst option if we are playing similar formation to Southampton game though

We played a 4-3-3 formation against the saints at times so I see Jay acting more like a winger when they are attacking on the side he plays on and likewise McNeill - Was quite interesting to see the transition from attack to defence and the shape at times.

Weghorst & Vydra is the upfront partnership I've been waiting to see

No cornet on bench, so injured then

Jay often played on the left wing in his first stint here and was quite effective.
I often thought we could have accommodated him out wide and i think he will do as good a job as Cornet

Could well be a 433
Lennon is available but isn't picked so may be a fluid midfield and front line.
Brilliant choice if we give them a game.

Shame about Cornet's injury, but great to see Costelloe and Thomas on the bench.
And time for Vydra to shine.

Very attacking line up. Could have moved Dwight back to the left and played Roberts ahead of Lowton. I love it. COYC. NNN. UTC.

He did and was pretty much ignored by the other players for some reason, it seemed very cliquey

Absolutely no way Dyche would have picked that side, I’m looking forward to seeing how we shape up

Many questions about Vydra at this level despite livelyness.
If he answers them and we stay up, he will be a hero.

Starting 11 looks very attacking.
Although not a strong bench with no real game changers if needed. Unless young Costelloe is that man.

Will good to see Vydra’s movement , hope we don’t miss Cornet’s movement down the left pushing us up offensively

We switched to 4-3-3 in second half on Thursday with Cornet joining Jay and Wout up top. It looked to me that we did it cos they were playing 3-5-2 so maybe if thats the formation Wolves play Jackson fancies having an extra striker rather than a winger

Not surprising though with 5 players missing from our already small squad.

Hmm! I prefer playing our goal threats getting a lead, then we can maybe shut up shop late on as we did on Thursday.
At least Jackson is selecting a positive line-up and we're seemingly trying to go for wins.
Much better approach than keeping it tight and hoping to nick something.

It wasn't just second half- in the first half every time we had the ball under control at the back, Cornet was the furthest up and Jay and Wout took it turns to drop back. Second half it became more apparent that out of possession Jay was regularly defending deeper than Cornet although less so when Lennon came on.
With Lennon available as a like for like swap though this is a gamble, particularly against a team so good on the counter. Perhaps the thinking is Wolves will sit deep and compact so won't leave the spaces down the channels Lennon particularly thrives on exploiting.
