Jackson/management team - excellent:

swapping Lennon with McNeil opened the game up as we were getting congested with two inverted wingers cutting in against Watford’s three in the middle. Then Barnes for Wout allowed us to get a bit more bite and ball retention up the field and the game started opening up.
Wave after wave of attack led to our two chances and boy did we take them.

Let’s not underestimate the coaching teams contribution. It might not be pitch sessions, but treating the squad as humans and understanding them, talking to them is showing on the pitch!

Pope 7 - didn’t really have much to do
Roberts 6 - decent outlet and didn’t do much wrong defensively
Collins 6 - some of the fk’s Pawson gave against him for Watford dives were ridiculous
Tarkowski 7 - decent
Taylor 8 - extra mark for an outstanding cross
McNeil 6 - not as effective today
Cork 6 - extra mark for goal
Brownhill 6 - like above
Lennon 5 - miles off the pace pressing and on the ball but better when he went onto the right
Weghorst 5 - Barnes showed when he came on more mobility / hold up play / aggression
Vydra 6 - did some good and some not so good, another assist though for the winner, that’s now 2 assists and 1 goal in his past few appearances

Barnes 7 - thought he did well, linked play by dropping deep so players were suddenly able to pick a pass, won the fk that we scored from, unlucky not to score

No great in large parts but two moments of real quality turned the game. Watford antics and the ref ignoring them spoiled the game. Let’s not make any changes until Summer.

Up until 80 mins it was looking like a Newcastle, Brentford , Norwich type performance, but fair play we had a great move finished well and that turned the tide.
They were always going to sit in once infront, and it was looking hard work to break them down

Away games like that very rarely happen, so enjoy it lads

Brownhill 7 not a fan but well taken goal. I briefly fell in love with him
Mcneil 7 main threat today, few loose final balls but did well
Lennon 7 put a great ball across face of goal first half, tried hard and I thought it wasn't too bad a miss early second half, just needed to set it a bit wider
Weghorst 4 seen every game since he joined us (on tv) and if anything he's regressed. Biggest asset was holding the ball up (with his feet) and even that has dropped. Does not look a goal threat whatsoever and can't jump.
Vydra 6 always love his effort but not his day
Barnes 6 what's with the constant diving? Should have buried the header. On the plus side you can tell he loves the club.

Not the best performance and I'd have gladly taken a point with 15 minutes left. But performances are a poor second to results at this stage. A game we'd have lost nine times out of ten earlier in the season and this must be another massive shot in the arm in terms of confidence. I think we're favourites to stay up and the bookies agree.

Got lucky today but one more win should see us home and dry, excellent effort from the lads, Watford were no pushovers, gave us a real fight just glad they ran out of steam near the end.

We were not in it first half, could not keep possession and were really bunching up on the right often giving it away. Give them their due they battled hard and restricted Watford in the second half. We scored two goals and got an ugly win, reminiscent of what we were doing several seasons ago.A great fightback and result.WE will play better and lose

Pope 8-came out well as a sweeper and very brave with one punch.Some good saves
Roberts 7. Some very good and brave defending and covering. Has a habit of dribbling sideways and losing it
Tarks 8-did well, with some measured diagonal balls
Collins 8-reads the game well.Lucky in the first half when he nearly gifted them a goal
Taylor 7-Tarks kept getting him to push on. Great cross for Corks goal
McNeil 7-indifferent game. Some great runs including the near penalty.Worked hard at both ends
Cork 7-struggled at times, but composed and did the simple things well. Good and welcome goal
Brownhill 7-a good shift and a good goal
Lennon 6-not so effective today but did a lot of back tracking in defending
Vydra 7-ran the channels well at times and put the effort we expect .Got a couple of good shots in
Weghorst 6-looked frustrated and struggled to get in the game. His lack of pace really stood out
Barnes 7-was a handful and physical when he came on
CROWD 10-they were magnificent today, and so so noisy
