Burnley Stadium Tour

On the club website you can buy stadium tour tickets for £10. The description for them is blank, so does anyone know what you get for your £10? I was thinking of buying 2 to put in a birthday card.

I took my two grandchildren on it about 4yrs ago and they loved it,can't remember what we saw and did but it was well worth the money .

Just be careful. As far as I’am aware they haven’t restarted since Covid restrictions have lifted.

Must be the cheapest stadium tour in history. I'm sure Accrington could get away with charging more for a tour of the WHAM stadium.

Not sure if it's the same thing but I did the tour as part of match day sponsorship a few years ago now. It included visiting the board room, trophy room and changing rooms and the late great Andy Lochhead was an excellent guide.

I had one with Willie Irvine.

Nearly 60 years ago, a certain Mr Potts asked a young boy and his dad, what they were doing, looking at the players entrance. The dad told Mr Potter how we were on our way back from Scotland, after hols and this was a treat, as the boy was an avid Burnley follower.

Mr Potter asked if the boy would like to see inside and proceeded to show the boy around, before finding some grounds folk having a cuppa. They showed the boy the pitch and he stood on the Bee Hole End and gazed at Turf Moor, for the first time.

One of my life memories.

Climbed the steps off the pitch into Bob Lord.

In there we saw the oak panelled Chairman's Lounge, old shirts and the Cat.
Then into the lounge and the trophy cabinet.
I was very nervous, twas like being in church.

The question was asked at the time by the Supporters Groups but the club were not keen, citing that it was a working environment and not a tourist attraction. There were also issues with traffic should a lot of people descend on the place. I was fortunate to get a tour round not long after it opened when I went for a meeting.

I'm heading up from the south coast for the weekend of the Newcastle match. It will be my lad's first ever trip to the Turf. I can't find anything on line about tours which is a shame as it be great to get a look around. As it looks we won't be able to tour the ground does anyone have any tips on things to do on the Saturday afternoon with an 11 year old?

Could you not email the club and enquire? They might help out seeing as you coming such a distance??

Had the tour around 3 years ago with the family. Veronica hosted. Thought it was fantastic, and she was a great host. A very reasonably priced stadium tour voucher, as I recall it, given to me one Christmas.

You lots are all far too considerate of what a lad might actually enjoy. I was thinking of something more uniquely Lancastrian like being dragged up Pendle hill or round a mill.
