Go on then… who else is nervous about the game on Saturday? I’m looking forward to the end of the season in a couple of weeks for the benefit of my health!

Not at all. 3 weeks ago we were dead and buried, now we've a real chance, so survival would be a massive bonus.

I had accepted Championship football, and was totally at ease with the prospect. The main concern of relagation is the finacial consequences, but who really knows what they're going to be, and how much of an impact they'll have.

We hopefully have a few more bodies back in contention for Saturday, and the team is confident.

Yes we will have to continue our Championship winning form to stay up, but why not, stranger things have happneded?

Who'd have thought Real would have got through to the final last night when the clock hit the 90 minute mark?

As somebody once said, "football is a funny old game".

I hope Stevie G does the right thing and tries his best to get Everton relegated by coughing up 6 points for us in the next few weeks!

Villa have the second worst form in the league. Yes, that makes me more nervous.

Whatever the final outcome at least we’ve got something to play for when it looked all but certain they would be dead rubbers. It looks like it’s going to need a high points total. If we manage to stay up the Dyche sacking will have proved a master stroke. There is no way we’d have collected the points from the last few games without the change.

I was very nervous by the 80th minute last Saturday at Watford. Then I was very excited. I'm sure it will be the same on Saturday and all the remaining games until we've got the points to stay up. Of course, I'd be a little less nervous if Everton and Leeds weren't also looking to pick up points.

As a gentleman of a certain age - and don't we all want to be that age when our time comes - I'm never far from a bathroom if I have the choice. ;)

It’s pointless any other way it’s not something you can control when you accept that you don’t have negative emotions.

With Andreshotboots on this one. I've been through all the trials, tribulations and feeling sick at watching the certainty of the boys being relegated.
Now we have a chance, just a chance, of staying up, it feels as if the pressure is off in a strange way.
I'm actually looking forward to the dogfight games now not dreading them.
If we go down, we've given it a damn good shot.

Given where we sat a month ago we've at least given ourselves a viable shot at survival, when it looked like we'd already be down by now, so in that sense we've got everything to gain and nothing to lose, and the players appear to be relishing this scrap, so that alone gives me hope now.

We know the team will do its utmost and everyone at the club will support them.

We know our task is to be positive and give them the loudest support they have ever heard and to do tge opposite to AV and the rest that follow.

Despite the refs and VAR controlled by the prem, we can do this.

My partner is also coming back for the Newcastle match. She suffers from anxiety, so if she can do it, we all can!

Up the Clarets

Come on Burnley Come on Burnley Come on Burnley

I am absolutely bricking it. Can barely think of anything else.

Would be much more relaxed if Chelsea had beaten Everton.

I’m scared of Villa since they’re a team with a lot of players capable of scoring - Coutinho, Buendia, Ramsey, Ings, Watkins, even Cash - I’d fancy them all if presented with opportunities. I know they’re not on a great run, which may also mean they look at this as an important one to win, but I always fear those teams with the most attacking threats vs. form.

I’d resigned myself to relegation but having put ourselves back with a shot I’m now an emotional wreck. Hope the players are faring better than me!!!!!!

I always wake up and spend 30 minutes on the toilet before a huge game, my Mrs laughs her head off but it just does something to my stomach.
Id argue its the beer I drink on the Friday to try and calm the nerves

In all honesty, I really struggle with big game nerves, to the point I cant enjoy it until afterwards. I'm fine with high pressure work meetings or interviews because I feel like I can turn the nerves into positive energy and control it but not being in control does that to me and I need to read up on ways of controlling it.

Yep sorry, and him!! Thanks for making it worse. Do think Villa are underperforming in terms of their squad & their league table is not really representative of their quality.

I'm nervous as hell.

20-30 minutes of utter pointlessness has been devoted per day to looking at the league table and the fixture lists of ourselves and the clubs around us. I'm not sure what this achieves for me but I feel even worse if I don't perform this ritual.

2nd bottom in the league form table for a reason. We just have to want it more, much like the second half against Wolves. I think Villa’s defence is fragile - more so than Wolves.

Really hope Cornet is fit to start, that would be a huge boost to our attacking play and chances.

I'm excited if anything.

It's woken me up from a mid table slumber.

I like games were we have to win, rather than just plodding along and a wins a bonus.

Was extremely nervous for Watford. Went through all the emotions like everyone else in that game. Then a day later that high was turned to frustration and anger at the Everton game. This week I’ve been relaxed a bit more, but Saturday I’ll be nervous as hell again.

Yes. Let's hope they are happy to lose away and just want to do a lap of honour in the hope match!

It’s odd isn’t it.

I had no nerves and were certain we’d win, then Everton beat Chelsea and I think we’ll lose. Unsure why, but I am a naturally pessimistic person to a fault sadly when it comes to football.

If we were to win. It would take us to 37 points with 3 games to go. 40 points would be extremely unlikely to end in relegation which mean that we would have 3 attempts at getting that final win.

Nervousness is part of being a supporter whichever team
you may support especially if they're in relegation fight.
Having just about convinced myself that we were going down
a few weeks ago and the nerves settling down to the inevitable
they're now on the rise big time.

The only time they will disappear is if and when we know we are safe
or going down whichever it may be.

Extremely nervous! There have been a number of times this season when I've totally given up on us and that's felt very calm and peaceful in many ways. But then we suddenly sit up and start breathing again and give ourselves a real chance and then I'm a bag of bloody nerves again! I've not been this nervous since we were facing Wigan in 2013. And if we climb this particular hurdle on Saturday, we face another and another and....

I'm nervous but more so when the games underway.
Then I think about this game and I don't think I'll ever get that nervous again.

After Duff getting sent off and them pulling one back it was agony. Sadly I'll miss the game as I'm working.

Having accepted relegation a few times since Leeds away I’d been pretty chilled of late. However after last weekends results and especially since Tuesday I’ve been nervous as hell, looking constantly at the league table, fixtures and possible permutations. The release of the accounts (knowledgable peoples take on them) hasn’t helped either.

Not nervous at all. I can't wait for the game to start.
Really excited more than anything else.
Every game starts from scratch, it doesn't matter what has happened with either team before the start.
One thing we can be sure of is that we will be going forward trying to win the match which will do for me.

Leeds might win 2 of theirs.
Everton could win three of theirs.
Must match whatever Leeds do.
But who'd have thought we'd still have a chance after Norwich.
Told the Mrs and also a Newcastle chum, this will go to last game of season...

He knows exactly what we need.

We're staying in the Premier League.
