For a man who doesn’t like facing the press he’s brilliant at it. Comes across so well in press conferences.
Love him.

he's a total credit to the club. The problem he has though is that he now has a choice under the new management team, assuming his job is safe
- go back to the U23s and strive to excel there and build his experience
- apply for lower league positions. It's not as if he hasn't managed before, so he's not that green
Though, in terms of his presser, it's a god job that there are only three games left, because, as true as it may be in terms of his humble/teamwork philosophy, it would begin to get stale if he was miraculously installed as the permanent manager

You would probably expect a team further down the pyramid to consider him for a first team managerial role after a period in the spotlight.
I would enjoy following his career.

He's managed Shrewsbury & Tranmere previously with no success.
As for his press conferences, not the polished style of Dyche but he comes across unbelievably well.

I have a mate who is a Shrewsbury fan and he didn’t have a good word to say about him. I’d like to see him involved with the first team next season in a coaching role. The players seem to like him.

Tranmere similarly - maybe a coach rather than a manager.

He comes across as a decent, honest guy. Likeable too.
I do not think for a single second he should be considered for the role on a permanent basis though.

So he was - I had thought they were caretaker roles !

Both permanent positions, although neither lasted very long. They were not successful terms for either club.

If he manages to keep us up, then I'm sure he'll get another chance at the main job
Not with us though

To be honest if he keeps us up I would imagine he’ll just be delighted to go back to his old job, with a smile on his face.

If he keeps us up he'll likely go down as our greatest ever caretaker manager, and he'll certainly be remembered in Burnley folklore forever.
Who knows whether the incoming manager will want to keep MJ on, and if there is interest from teams lower down the pyramid he'd be mad not to at least consider them.
Totally agree he shouldn't be given the reins on a permanent basis though, it's one thing stepping into the breach temporarily, with in truth little to lose, but it's quite another being the main man full time with everything that would entail.

Hopefully he'll be back with the U23s.
He's done great so far, and hopefully will continue to do a great job until the end of the season.
Perhaps he'll get a better contract in his role as a coach.

I'm sure that if he does keep Burnley in the PL he will earn himself quite a juicy Brucey bonus, so he won't mind too much what his role is.

Best all round and hoping for this outcome.

On you tube, there is a interview at Tranmere when Jackson was asked if he was hoping to be the next manager of that club, Michael Jackson's reply was, i am a coach not a manger.
