It was always going to be us or Leeds. There was no way they were ever going to allow Everton to go down!

Just match whatever Leeds get. Can’t believe they will beat Brentford so a draw or even a loss for us would do it

It's literally a coin toss now.

I think I'd rather be playing Brentford tbh!

Gutted at how that all went from HT at both grounds but its a point and notionally advantage us

Hard to call. Think Newcastle are a trickier opponent than Brentford (despite their excellent form), though we have the advantage of being at home.

“They” meaning..? By the way are you talking about the Everton that have had 5 dismissals in like the last 8 games? And Palace v lucky this evening not to have red card in the first half.

How big a match is Sunday?

Leeds deserve to go down….look at that goal difference. But we’ve got the harder match.

Brentford were terrific away against Everton last week.
Not definite they'll replicate that performance, of course, but if they do, they'll flatten DL.

How did THEY score Richarlison's goals?

If the same Newcastle that beat Arsenal turn up here, then we’ll have to hope that Brentford win.

They didn’t, but to be fair he wouldn’t have been able to score in the three games he should have been suspended.

We’ve got to approach the game as if only a win will do.

Will Eddie do us a favour or will Saint Maximin tear us a new one again?

After the Norwich game I think we'd all have been delighted if we knew we were going into the last game needing a win to guarantee safety.

COME ON BURNLEY

Got to approach it believing Leeds will win.

This.

Do we change back to 4-4-2? Problem last time was the relative lack of mobility / pace with Barnes and WW strikers. Cornet can go back on the left though where I think he’s more effective.

No one will do us a favour. Not Howe, Wood, Tripps, Ref or Var. We have to do it ourselves. Come on Burnley.

Neutrals of a certain age perhaps. Armchair fans of big six clubs all want us out of "their" League.

Even though I don't want to admit it, I think Leeds are a much stronger team than we are too.

Great to be out of the bottom 3 and tonight’s point means that we can get beat and stay up.
However , and it’s a big but, it’s time to put our clear cut chances away and win. That’s the only way we can secure survival.

And so it was destined to be but whatever happens it will
be a tense afternoon on Sunday so I suppose we can't complain about
in not be exciting.

Totally nerve wracking admittedly and I don't think I'll be able to
watch or follow it so need to find something that will occupy my mind.
... and body.

Possibly a long massage?

I don't think anyone will be too bothered about how we play on Sunday. We've just got to find a way to win.

It took me years to get over that game even the 4-1 home victory the season after was scant reward

It's far from a coin toss, we're now 2/1 to be relegated. That means we're twice as likely to stay up than Leeds are.

Maybe Howe will be unsettled by Mourinho being linked with Newcastle.

Howe hasn't the footballing brain to manage a top six side....he won't be at Newcastle long...he's achieved want they wanted and they will already be looking for alternatives.

The Bookies think we will stay up, you can get 2/1 if you think we will go down the best for Leeds is 4/9

Our odds have drifted and that is what we needed from tonight.

Leeds look like a relegation side. We don’t. They are in 2nd season syndrome. We aren’t. They don’t have relegation fighting experience. We have. They are away. We aren’t.

And crucially, they have really pi$$ed off the side they are about to play. We haven’t. In fact, the reverse.

Now Everton are safe I’m hoping Eddie does us a favour. Hoping. Not expecting. But I feel Brentford will win anyway. Thanks to Cooper and Dallas in that video.

Do we know if Rodriguez could be in contention? Having him available to help link midfield and attack would be a bonus. If so, I’d be inclined to move Cornet out wide although his lack of any defensive nous could be a hindrance.

Refer to the ‘is the premier league scripted’ post.

Of course we’re going down. The Premier League don’t want minnows like us spoiling the party.

Brentford are in excellent form. They don't like Leeds and they have the chance to sign-off an outstanding season on a high note. Confident they are going to turn up for this one

We have to go out and play to win regardless. Don't think Newcastle will be on the beach and that will bring out all of our battling qualities - much like Villa did tonight

The desire is there within the group from being dead and buried after Norwich it is now about what we do on Sunday. We have the mental strength and discipline to get the job done

Leeds have the mich easier game and go i to it with nothing to lose, I can see them winning late on like Everton did tonight.
If so we have to beat Newcastle, and I don’t think we have enough. They smashed Arsenal and are a different team then the one if the first half of the season. They are in form and we want to see their season end with a win, especially against us with the Howe, Wood and trips connection.
Our issue is our lack of concentration at the start of halves, that cost us today yet again. If we are to stay up everything has to click and we will need some luck, and we are certainly due some luck.

I'll be watching our game via a link. Wish I could go. Couldn't think of anything worse than having to watch via sky sports news. "There's a goal at Brentford, but which way has it gone?"

The late equaliser against Brighton will have given Leeds a lift but they are in awful form.

Brentford have won four of their last six and are third in the form table

Brentford don’t matter. All we have to do is turn up and win.

But if we’re going to cling to dear life in games we could really be winning, perhaps we don’t do that.

I’m not sure how people are making a home game against Newcastle harder than an away game against the team one place above them.

We must appeal today’s red. But our fate is back in our own hands. In Jacko we trust. My only concern is that Leeds will kick their way to victory. Brentford won’t want risk severe injuries and spoil what has been a great season for them.
