I know I’m probably being pedantic, but…”servant “? Really? I think”highly paid and effective employee “ is more accurate.
Re: Tarkowski to Everton
I’ve mentioned on another thread how I’d read that Burnley had accepted an offer from Everton. Why would we be involved in anyway, isn’t he a free agent.
Re: Tarkowski to Everton
It's a bit underwhelming. Good luck to him but I thought his sights would be a bit higher.

Everton are a car crash club and if the Premier league actually grow a pair will deduct points from their constant overspending

Re: Tarkowski to Everton
Great move for Everton and ideal for Tarky as he always wanted to stay as close to the North West as possible.
They should sign Pope and Mee and they might make the top half.

Pickford will be just as pleased with that signing knowing a good percentage of shots will be blocked

Yes but their financial activities are still under srutiny. Looks like they will have to sell.quoonbeatz wrote: ↑Wed Jun 08, 2022 3:04 pmGreat move for Everton and ideal for Tarky as he always wanted to stay as close to the North West as possible.

Re: Tarkowski to Everton
Fair does to Tarks for getting a decent move, it will be interesting if he improves or not at Goodison, Keane certainly hasn't progressed as many expected he would when going there.
Re: Tarkowski to Everton
But that means Pickford won't look as good on telly, trying to make every save the greatest ever.Woonderbah wrote: ↑Wed Jun 08, 2022 3:09 pmPickford will be just as pleased with that signing knowing a good percentage of shots will be blocked

Re: Tarkowski to Everton
If Everton get Tarks and are keeping Keane, surely it would make sense for them to also look to sign Mee to play alongside either.
Re: Tarkowski to Everton
Iam sure Tarks said he wanted to play for a club which qualified for Europe...... I guess money talks

Re: Tarkowski to Everton
Real shame he is playing for a bottom half team still. Realistically pay better but little else. I felt he would improve West Ham.
Re: Tarkowski to Everton
They already have Yerry Mina as well.elwaclaret wrote: ↑Wed Jun 08, 2022 3:33 pmIf Everton get Tarks and are keeping Keane, surely it would make sense for them to also look to sign Mee to play alongside either.

Re: Tarkowski to Everton
Good move for him, but I think he could do better
But if he wants to stay local, and the money will be good, and Lampard actually had Everton competing at the end of the season, playing the sort of football that we specialised in
Course, not sure how long Everton fans will put up with that

Re: Tarkowski to Everton
He wanted to stay nth west, he’s doubled his pay, he easily strengthens a poor Everton defence. Statistically one of the top 5 defenders in Europe. Gave 100% every game even when everyone knew he was leaving in the summer. All the best to him, hope it works out for him

Re: Tarkowski to Everton
with the way people speak on here I'm surprised he's not going to Barcelona. Very good defending his own 6 yard box, a liability out of it. Given us good service and been a cracking player for us, he just isn't cut out for the top 10 sides. At least he's taken back control of his own career now

Re: Tarkowski to Everton
My brother and I have both said that we thought Man United should be in for him. They’re way of the pace of their rivals, as it stands, and Tarkowski would be a great free signing for them.Lancasterclaret wrote: ↑Wed Jun 08, 2022 3:48 pmGood move for him, but I think he could do better

If they play a back 3 of Tarkowski Keane Mina then thats some defence
Re: Tarkowski to Everton
Top player for us.
I imagine going to Everton is in order to stay in the North west.

Pickford, when he is having his pillow talk with Southgate might put a good word in for Tarks.

I’ve said this before - I know - sorry to bore everyone - Everton do not develop their players. Good luck JT. You will be a super asset to any team but I don’t believe Everton will make the most of you .

Re: Tarkowski to Everton
I’ll be interested to see how Tarks does, it will certainly be a challenge for him at a club not so set up to frustrate the opposition. I can even see him becoming another Everton don’t appreciate, like Keane. Hope it works out for him, been fantastic for us.

Best centre back I've ever seen at Burnley (68 years watching), but I think he is making a poor choice. However, all the best to him, great player for us.

Good luck to him, could’ve downed tools like he did at Brentford to come to us but grafted to the end. Can’t say no to the money he’s probably getting there.

Re: Tarkowski to Everton
Funny how he's played a major role in Burnley finishing top 10 twice, yet you don't consider him good enough for the top 10 sides.KRBFC wrote: ↑Wed Jun 08, 2022 5:17 pmwith the way people speak on here I'm surprised he's not going to Barcelona. Agree he's been fabulous for us, but as long as we keep Collins I sense he might be even better than Tarks.
Re: Tarkowski to Everton
More often than not a back two then! Even when he is supposedly fit, Mina moves like he’s injured or expecting to become injured very soon.warksclaret wrote: ↑Wed Jun 08, 2022 5:41 pmIf they play a back 3 of Tarkowski Keane Mina then thats some defence
Good player, I’m just not sure he’s built for playing football.
